Merkland Red 3,003 Report post Posted October 5, 2020 46 minutes ago, Hawk89 said: Maybe reading a little much into it but the average response is "great he'll hopefully kick on and be ready for next season". Happy to continue our raiding of the North East for players, after the last ones you gave us. As bizarre as this sounds the worst thing he could have done was score against Rangers on his debut. He's scored a couple since then but he's never been big enough or had the all-round game to thrive while we were playing the way were. We're playing better football and it would suit him but we suffered injuries and needed back up and then he ended up with Covid after going out on the lash and he was suddenly third choice. Cosgrove is now back so he'll be 5th choice at best.

callum-ayr 2,107 Report post Posted October 5, 2020 I’d like to see McKenzie get a start and have Anderson in the bench. Good chance to get him opening his Ayr account and a bit of confidence in him.

Playing with Zanatta is like playing with 10 men whenever the game isnt going exactly his way so McCowan might have to learn to do just that. Anyway, despite that, hope you lot have a good season. What's the expectations this time around? Challenging for play-offs?

I think Dunfermline and Dundee will be 2nd and 3rd and it will be between ourselves and ICT for 4th.

To be honest I would rather Anderson got more game time with the three on behind to start building up their understanding. Sure McKenzie will get some game time though.

He's decent imv and this could be his breakthrough season. And Anderson could be on the bench and without too much early expectation on him. Makes sense to me

D'Jaffo 6,138 Report post Posted October 5, 2020 Ness has a few fitness issues but I’d still take him tbh. Think he’ll be looking for a better offer that is tbh and I’d also think any remaining players we bring in will be loans.

We may have drained the tank however and loans might be our only remaining options .
