Burley signed a few, Arthur Albison, Neil McNab, Steve Archibald. 44 year old Alan Rough was MacLeod I think.

RedEd
Archibald only played one game for us. Same with Rough (who was our goalie coach), although he played a decent number of reserve games that season.

Iain
Was reading about the new fan bank initiative on Twitter there and came across this gem. Could our budget be more than anticipated? https://twitter.com/paulbmwtech/status/1663885069554003968 #spendthefifteenmillion Edited May 31, 2023 by Iain

Yeah he became a bit of a cult figure IIRC. Scored a really good goal against Partick Thistle. ETA: I am pretty sure that was his only goal for us as well. It was at Firhill, he looked completely disinterested and couldn't even be bothered running, he was subbed in the 2nd half and just walked straight down the tunnel never to be seen again (thankfully). Having said that, the version of him who was Barcelona's top scorer in La Liga might have done us a turn !!

Was never keen on him, even when he played for Scotland.

(Happend after I had said 'I hope someone breaks his legs' which was very nasty of me at the time. My friend was gutting himself at that all night at it.)

I remember some old guy gave me dogs abuse because he asked me if I had a lighter and I said I didn't smoke.
Thumper
Two fullbacks, two strikers and two midfielders will cover what is needed, barely, but they all have to be better than when they replaced (Akinyemi aside) and they all need to stay fit. You'd hope for a bit more depth. And this contradicts Bullen's stated preference for signing generalists, which mostly failed last season.
honestly united
Im imagining the seethe now when we start the league cup and our fullback options are McAlister and Hewitt on the right and Reading and Ecrepont on the left!!

Bit sceptical about 2 new fullbacks given Reading is signed and McAllister has been offered a new contract.

Neither McAllister or Reading are good enough to be starters. It's critical we have a new LB and RB come the start of the season
