You can go back and watch the whole of the slaughter at Tanndice any time for the rest of your life, instead of needing to hope some guy caught the good bits on his camera phone and hasn't had his YouTube suspended. I reported at the time that the 5-0 win at Dundee United was the best night of my life. This still stands.
edinburghhonestman
Just seen on another thread that winning our next two cup ties brings in £102k as opposed to £19.5k if we lose on Tuesday. Just shows how important these games are if we're to keep building.
Thumper
It would admittedly be very funny pumping Cove and then recreating the original Cupset by getting dumped out by Elgin in the next round.

Elgin will not beat us at Somerset. Beating Cove is not a gimme though

Got awarded a 3-0 win though due to them fielding an ineligible player.

Aye we beat them 3-0 after beating them 4-3 on penalties in a world first of having the penalty shootout before the actual match.

There was a pumping, but it was by QOS to us. However it all worked out ok as we're now good and they're pure pish.

The most notable thing about the league cup was that Akinyemi was seemingly forced to play with his boots on the wrong feet, in what in hindsight was an incredible piece of psychological manipulation by the Ayr management.

I do remember remarking that he couldn't hit a barn door and looked more like a wide player. How wrong I was!

Trogdor
It's one of those times where I don't mind eating humble pie. I can be harsh about the players on here but genuinely pleased when they prove me wrong.
D'Jaffo
Readings injury leaves us very light in defence so I wonder if we’ll be forced into signing someone to provide a bit of backup whilst Musonda and Reading are out.

Whilst Houston probably done as good as a job as Reading would do at LB, we should be looking at 2 defenders coming in. We still looked naive to crosses where Cove had their only chances and this needs to be adressed.
