Elgin or Drumchapel should we progress. Easiest draw we could’ve got although Cove won’t be easy to get past.

Clearly Cove fans thinking the same. Tough game against Ayr albeit we have home advantage  We're currently going through a mini rebuild with new managers and signings, which isn't ideal, but the winner of this tie will be strong favourites for advancing to a QF tie. Dreamland for Cove if we reach that stage. Hartley was in the paper saying a strong cup run would cement our desire to go FT (I presume hybrid), possible for next season.

Yes, it's a fantastic incentive for both clubs. It doesn't matter who either club signs now since they won't be eligible to play but how many injuries clear up will be significant. How many regular starters are out for Cove at the moment?

Thistle getting Rangers might up their transfer budget

Good draw, albeit a sticky one. Pollock made it hard for us so if we get through against Cove, it’s not a foregone conclusion we’ll get through

McCall said at beginning of month he had no money this month to make any signings but presume that draw will change matters for them which is concerning for likes of us.

Massive opportunity to get to Quarter Finals if we beat Cove which will be a disaster if we don't

Downside is it means no extra cash for signings...

Only if we make a mess of the next two games… realistically it gives us a chance of a bigger payday and only being one more decent draw away from a day out at Hampden.

What a draw and opportunity it is IMO.

We have Shay Logan and Fraser Fyvie out currently. Mitch was carrying a slight knock but played the last 25 minutes against Raith. Expect all to be available for the 31st.

We'll have Scott Fox and Tony Weston available as they signed before yesterday.

We're still likely to sign 2/3 more but like you say ineligible for 31st.

£125k if you reach the quarters . Plus pretty much certain to run into a Premier side , unless Queens and get through inverness and Livingston . Need to grow up and own these two teams . We have the better players .

That's big money, for us certainly. A lot to play for in the upcoming tie on 31st.

I expect QP or Caley to really challenge Livi.

Raith, assuming they will be far too strong for Linlithgow, won't fear Motherwell

We thought we’d challenge livi a few seasons ago and they steam rolled us

Not to worry , our task is simple  over the next two weeks or so , get a couple of players in , go up north on Friday , smash a former Highland League team if they can get the game played , go back up on  Tuesday and smash them again , then travel to play former amateur team at another ground (not theirs) and smash them also. Footnote none of them have beaten us in two attempts .

A full time team that possibly owns a ground sheet for the pitch? Amateur stuff right there. Desired right enough.
