Some of our fans are fucking idiots. To not agree on a player of the year award is one thing, but to go out your way and abuse the guy getting it on the official announcement (not even just suggesting who it should have been) is mind boggling.
Richey Edwards
We have had strikers who were not even half as good as Adeloye but never got the level of abuse he gets.

D'Jaffo
Should maybe have a word with the AU media team and tell them to show the same level of support.

Tbf, I think it's more of a coincidence that they just showed a picture of Tomi. They released a picture with Ashford celebrating his goal away at Raith.
Hawk89
At this level, and even the one above, every player will have atleast a couple of weaknesses in their game, if they didn't they would be plying their trade for six figures a week. Some folk have spent far too much time playing FIFA and need to have their expectations reset. Seem to expect lads on a few hundred quid a week to play like Ronaldo at Real Madrid. Tomi has done well this year to hit double figures, especially with the way played in the first half of campaign. If he had our L1 winners behind him he could easily be approaching 20 for the season with the service they would have provided.

Doesn't help any striker is pretty much getting directly compared to Shankland... which is just stupid in itself

The thought processes of the Will Earns of this world never cease to amaze me. I don't agree with the player of year award so I will message the club and player directly with abusive messages. WTF?! And this guy is presumably a fully functional adult. His friends/family need to call out his behaviour as unacceptable if he's incapable of realising it. Tomi seems a delicate sort and takes criticism to heart. If you don't think he's player of the year then just keep your mouth shut and your hands off the keyboard. It's not that hard. I think Tomi will be away in the summer regardless of which league we are in. Wouldn't be surprised if he rocks up at another Championship club. Fans of pretty much every other club want him based on the other thread going.
bazka6
Don’t recall Alain Horace getting similar abuse. Sincerely hope this is a vast minority getting airtime due to social media. Looked Alain up, didn’t realise he and a certain Jerome Veraille had been together at Mulhouse.
Thereisalight..
I like Tomi, he needs to grower a thicker skin though rather than taking comments from the SRE and Twitter nobodies to heart. Seems he had a good day at Hampden earlier going by his Instagram, maybe that will have perked him up a bit.

Iain
Djaffo and Reynolds were definitely given the 'lazy' trope by the same people.
North British
Tomi does seem to take things to heart a bit ,equally he should be waking up today after a crazy weekend and looking at those player of the year trophy’s (three) and realising what people at the club think of him . Hopefully that and the plans to push the club on is enough for him to sign . The continuity of a second or third season at a club isn’t something he’s done really . On the flip side he’ll have plenty of offers on the table from other Scottish clubs , with no doubt Thistle at the head of the line .. Maybe the city would suit him more .. Dunno , hope not .
Richey Edwards
This is your Monday morning reminder that Bullen's win percentage as Ayr United manager is the same as Hopkin's and worse than Duffy's. You're welcome.

You're welcome. Assuming this will be including Hopkin’s cup games against lower league opposition.... No doubt Bullen is underperforming given the players that have been brought in though. ETA, league record: Duffy: 15 matches, three wins and five draws. Hopkin: 14 matches, two wins and six draws. Bullen: 15 matches, four wins and five draws. As much as Bullen is underperforming, he is clearly miles better than Hopkin and marginally better than Duffy. To be fair, when Djaffo was putting in effort, he was brilliant but when he couldn't be bothered he made no secret of the fact. Reynolds was a fans favorite, he certainly wasn't lazy. He wasn't very good and put 95% of crosses out the park but he wasn't lazy.
