Sounds like it based on Dunfermline's tweet "after a suitable compensation agreement was reached between the clubs". I liked Jens Hansen and thought he was pretty good for us, also remember having a beer with him in the town (MacArthurs I think) and I asked him how he liked Ayr, he said he liked it but that it was "very cold" which I thought was quite amusing since he came from the Faroes !!
rb123!
Could do with an update now on how many we're actually trying to sign before the end of the month (if any). With Chalmers going we're extremely short in CM if anything happens to Murdoch or Dempsey. Honestly can't see us signing a defender or striker unless Fjortoft or Afalobi are punted.

eez-eh
That is genuinely outstanding news. Hopefully a sign that another midfielder will be on the way in too. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a footballer encapsulate the meaning of “ponderous” quite the way Joe did.

He often looks like he can’t complete a simple pass. When we first signed him I thought I was going to love him, and I’m sure it was Morton away where he dictated things and made everything look so easy - but you rarely see it from him. Totally this for me also. The reality of the guy we ended up with was someone slow, ponderous and who's set pieces and general passing were absolutely shocking for a Professional Footballer, especially one who was supposedly a "ball player", "set piece specialist". The biggest thing for me is that for a team so short in Midfielders, he actually wasn't missed when not playing and was probably missed more when he was !!!

Hursty
Another thought - if that's been going on in the background for 2 weeks as stated, and we've managed to get a fee however small for one of the highest earners - then there really is no excuse whatsoever to not get another couple of signings in....

Yes, as much as I'm overjoyed to get rid of Chalmers, we definitely need another Midfielder as the bare minimum, however I don't think there's any chance that we'd have let him go if we didn't have a replacement already lined up.

I would still play him in there in front of Muirhead, but that isn’t exactly a huge endorsement!

Agreed, but as you say Muirhead should be nowhere near the Midfield.

I can understand why a team would give Chalmers a go but paying a fee/compo is wild. I suspect the same won't happen with McGinty, we'd need to pay the buying club.
