Apparently the reason for it was they were standing next to the accessible enclosure talking to people and their carers, and rather than asking them to move away they were punted out. I saw that as well. I feel sorry for the stewards, my mate does it and they get no end of grief on the radio telling them to move fans or speak to them etc. No doubts they're are some arseholes amongst them, but quite a few are just Ayr fans doing a job they enjoy for the club they love. They also get a hard time. One got spat on by a QOS fan earlier this season, then McCall's son lamping one of them on Saturday. They're not paid to take shit like that
Hazbart
If you think we’re in dire straits with our management…. Brian Gilmour is currently taking charge of training at Murray Park

Hopefully he’s back soon as he’s missed massively

Someone of Gilmour's type as a young and upcoming coach who has already had that few years experience at lower level might be the type of future manager we need.

He’s been involved in playing, scouting and coaching for years. He was involved in that seedy football visas coaching thing where players were brought over from the states to try and win a deal in the UK. He might be a good manager or he could be one of these guys who is a good youth coach but not a good manager.

He's gone about it completely differently to the likes of Kerr and Roberts who were flung in from the start at professional manager level

Not necessarily as I think he’s destined to be great and more so none of the realistic unemployed managers were exciting and Gilmour would be an unknown quantity but with some coaching experience already under his belt. Without sounding like an OF fan he does know the club, is from Ayrshire, had decent technical ability as a player and speaks well in interviews. However I’ve already accepted it won’t be him and it’s going to be Jim McIntyre’s third time lucky.
ayrunitedfw
Think it was D’Jaffo who suggested him but I’m now fully on the Ian Murray bandwagon.

Didn't realise they were doing so well tbf, thought a few weeks ago they were like 5th, that league is nuts though so could have been the case i suppose
Trogdor
You know its bad when someone suggests Gilmour as a joke and now we're considering him as a credible option.
No_Problemo
No Jim, we did not compete pretty well in the second half on Saturday, mortifying stuff.
diegomarahenry
I don't think we can piss about with the next appointment, 3 bad appointments in a row has been an issue. Ideally, someone can come in now who has experience , Have the January window to bring players in short term and start looking at pre-contracts for next season. I am sure McCall will already have chapped a few doors for next season. At this rate, we will still be waiting on the elusive new midfielder in August next year.
Fitbafollower
My worry is although many people on here want a full clear out if we are not careful with players contracts and who is management team we may well lose one or two players we may wish too keep As other clubs will be looking at a couple of our out of contract players we need to get things sorted and in place before January

However, I could hardly blame Aero, Reading or Murdoch for going elsewhere. The last couple of seasons is the football equivalent of pissing into the wind.

I literally watched a junkie do that from the window of my work today All over his white tracksuit top. Out his face. I think getting rid of a handful of players (McGinty, Chalmers, McGinty again, Baird, McGinty again just to make sure the f*cker has left, Salkeld and whomever else we would have leave, McGinty) and loans expiring will ultimately make our bare bones team even more so. Smith has more or less said they were looking for a midfielder and we're still waiting, hopefully we strike gold in January and get a few new faces. I saw Paul Watson left Dunfermline at the end of last month Anyone know much about him? Not that a central defender is needed but it would be handy to push Aero into midfield Edited November 16, 2021 by Roxanne's man
