Travelling to London for any reason is allowed.

Where did I say it wasn't allowed?

But as you brought it up, I don't think fitting as many people as possible into a fountain is in the spirit of travelling for "any reason" either.

What a strange thing to suggest.

Pleased to announce that Ayr have filled out their attacking options by signing the Trident submarine platform. in addition, commentary duties will be bolstered by the addition of Chick Young.

If anybody can get McGinty working then it's Duffy.

Just again to confirm: McGinty was purchased by Alex Ferguson for Manchester United. But yes, Jim Duffy will fix him over a decade later.

There is no spirit for travelling. People don’t need to fit into your box of acceptable reasons to be allowed to travel to other places in the UK.

As I said right at the start, I'm not getting involved in a covid debate. Don't moan when genuine fans miss out on the first Derby match of next season though.

Yes, I lose all right to moan because I believe people are fully allowed to follow government guidelines and travel where they want. If genuine fans miss out, after an entire country is vaccinated then it will be solely down to the Scottish Government.

Just because Ayr fans are not at Somerset Park or Rugby Park for a Derby match, they will certainly be there in spirit. Following the rules and staying safe is way more important to the masses than the bragging rights of a Derby win for either side.

This is not at all in defence of Kilmarnock fc at all, but certainly something in which general common sense would dictate.

The teams will still play whether we as fans, attend or not, the one thing unquestioned is our support of the super.

As for the Euros, I'm hoping that Bojo fixes it for England. So the English can be English and do the English thing in which the English do and be English about things. Which involves altering rules for the English to attend the football games, for the whole benefit of England. I am literally honestly awaiting this happening. 🙄 Just watch.

Just keep yourself and your friends and family safe, which is the most important thing and watch whatever team you wish to watch (Scotland, in my case, pending Roxannes Coronation Street omnibus) from behind a flat screen TV in your living room.

Football is a passionate thing but safety ALWAYS comes first.

I'm afraid not, if you're referring to international travel.

Immigration and border control are not devolved so that would be the remit of the UK Government.

Interestingly I've not seen anyone mention the FCO advice which is still stating you are free to travel abroad, this of course is due to the FCO advice being the only advice that matters from a legal and insurance perspective so in other words the Government are shielding big business and passing the financial fallout on to individuals.

There's a shock, would never have expected THAT from the Tories.........

International travel should have no bearing on fans attending Somerset to watch a football game. Unless we're playing 7 degrees of separation that's a bit of a stretch for me. There must be a few ifs in that analysis, particularly over the efficacy of the vacinnes over as of yet unknown variants.

International air travel is the main reason why covid is being re-seeded back into communities.  If community transmission takes off again then that may well impact on our ability to gather in crowds.  The 2 things very much are linked.

Season tickets on sale. Could have been doing with a good signing being announce in tandem with it to drive up a few extra sales.

If Jim Duffy’s bald napper doesn’t get folk buying a ST then nothing will.

Lafferty, Broadfoot and Kiltie released by “them” Lafferty proved he can do a job in the bottom end of the PL, Kiltie has shown he is bang average in the Championship and Broadfoot is done.

Kiltie has done well at the level in fairness. Was probably Morton’s best player the season he was there and had a great start with Dunfermline before being recalled.

I’m not sure what you took from what I said, but I’m talking about Ayr fans watching us play Kilmarnock!

Not entirely true about the FCDO advice, we clearly state on the travel advice website that you should follow guidance and not travel to Amber or Red list countries. People are also being turned away at airports when they are found to be traveling for tourism rather than essential / business. So it isn't as simplistic as the government just saying on you go lads. Any employer cannot expect someone to travel to one of those countries at present, for one their own travel insurance policy wouldn't cover it unless you work in a specialist field that actually requires you to travel and not just have a quick skype meeting.
