Just wait for their imminent attempt at a league restructure. Not acting in their own self interest though. 🤣

It's fucking hilarious.

We warned last week that the football authorities’ distribution of monies, which penalised Thistle by £350k, could come back to bite us if games were stopped. Less than a week later, here we are without the financial cushion other full-time clubs have been given. We are already looking at furloughing staff and players which is an awful step for a professional club to have to take and could impact our ability to compete when football returns.

Partick Thistle should’ve thought about all this before being utterly fucking shite at football for 3 years. I really don’t know why anyone, other than there fans, would do anything other than point and laugh at them.

Based on this Celtic thing they have obviously been tested on Monday as part of the weekly test procedure, going forward will we be testing weekly on a Monday?

If that is the case We will be in our bubble but how does that Impact on the the part time teams  players who are out and about with there work the rest of the week or are they testing differently.

More likely be Wednesday/Thursday ,that’s when we completed them up until it was no longer required

Seriously, at what point will Partick discover some dignity?  That statement is a total embarrassment.  Apparently they support the NHS but condemn the football authorities.  Are they just going to stew in their own snotters for the next hundred years until the next pandemic comes along and forces us to end a season early?

If they had been relegated under their own steam I'd agree but they have been relegated by a vote, lost out on a fair chunk of government money and will now be kicking their heels for 3 weeks. They have been by far the worst effected by all of this in Scottish football.

They need to moan about it but I don't think anyone will do anything.

The team they were adamant would be good enough to stay up last season looks barely good enough for a play off spot in League 1.

That would be funny if rangers weren't awarded the title lol

I'm sure their fans would remain consistent with their view from last season that null and void is the best option.

Quite annoyed that we won’t be playing our original fixture v Alloa tonight. With teams still having fixtures to be replayed from earlier postponements, when the SPFL decided to stop the lower leagues and SC, they should have had the original league ties reinstated for tonight or tomorrow to stop a further back log. Only yesterday the EPL cancelled the Spurs/Villa match for tonight and scheduled the Spurs/Fulham match for tomorrow instead.

We're too backward for that shit, with no fans in most times and days should be available at fairly short notice, no team should have free midweeks for the foreseeable weather permitting.

With a bit of foresight, there are going to be games postponed with weather and Covid, so like you say, free weeks just now should be used for any current outstanding matches. Far too sensible.

Will the clubs have been able to get everyone tested in time, as is now a requirement?

Absolutely no chance. Reistically no Championship club could play before Thursday I imagine.

And it was the SFA that announced suspension of football, not the SPFL. Given it took the SPFL a few hours to put out a statement in support of it I'm not sure how much notice they actually got either.

Might not be as easy at this level with shift changes and other commitments in life. The top leagues in englandn operate in a different world with the wages on offer

Not humanly possible , no games to be played until new guidelines are met which entails all players  and back room staff being tested , clubs only made aware at 11am yesterday, so no possibility of getting results back today ,

What about the all playing staff must be Covid tested to allow games to take place , how could any team with such short notice get tests completed sent away and results returned , I get Covid tested every Tuesday at work and don’t get results to at least Thursday/ Friday

That’s a fair point. However probably brings more questions around how will the part time teams cope with that, especially with midweek matches. Don’t see this lasting much longer in the championship.

They only have to get tested once a week, so I don't see why it matters whether the matches are midweek or at the weekend.

I'm not talking about today, I'm talking about us going forward, where there's a will there will undoubtedly be a way, before today we didn't require those measures and still had free weeks with no consideration given to the possibility of this situation deteriorating.

My worry is, with 10 clubs now testing players that previously weren't, there is a decent amount of cases to get the Championship cancelled as well, maybe even the premiership.

The risk is players who are untested travelling to play other players who are untested in different areas of the country. The leagues had already complained that testing would be cost prohibitive to most clubs. So the only way this could have played out is playing tested or not at all. It may open up additional Government funding for clubs paying for tests as it is now only 12 rather than the full league and non-league structure.

The other option of course is having all professional footballers vaccinated as a priority, over someone in a high risk bracket which wouldn't go well.
