If Ndaba does sign then as a left footer he'll be a straight replacement for Roscoe.

Kerr has shown he either, doesn't feel Muirhead or Baird are capable of playing on their weaker side or that he just prefers the balance a left and right footer provides. Either way hopefully it would be an upgrade on the current defence.

Yes, 4th was the target. Not getting the big obsession with ICT. Lost a lot of players and budget won’t be much more than ours.

Very good manager though.

On this discussion people seem to have completely disregarded Raith as any sort of competition, but traditionally the team who wins league 1 then tends to do well the following seasons. Since Rangers won it in 2014, the only teams to not finish in the playoffs the next season are Dunfermline (who finished fifth) and Arbroath (who also finished fifth).

Or maybe Raith were mentioned, I skipped a good few pages.

Fair point - I think some of us, myself included, feel we should finish above them simply based on them just being promoted and the fact we didn't know a great deal about some of their signings.

Given this is only our third year in the league it is probably a stupid position to take. I still think we should finish above Raith, however I don’t think we will. McGlynn has clear recruited well.

I really hope we get a striker in who isn’t Aaron Drinan. I was so underwhelmed by him last season (I know I’m the only one). I think we have enough attacking players who don’t score goals regularly (Moffat) without adding another one. An out and out goal scorer is what we need and Drinan isn’t that imo

Not quite; it was Morton's second season up that we made the playoffs after winning it in 2015, but we also finished fifth the first season.

On Cammy Smith, the only danger we have is Dundee United decide they need him for second half of season or a club like Hearts could come in now and sign him up on a pre-contract i'm sure while he's still on loan at us. His loan was only until January anyway but unsure if it was beginning or end of month so might see movement on that soon.

Was his DU contract not only until this month?

Drinan brought so much more to the team than can be appreciated when looking at the bare statistics, he took pressure off others, he held the ball up very well and his tireless workrate rubbed off on the rest of the team.

He may not have been prolific as a goalscorer but I'd take him back in a minute !!

If we can get a striker in who’ll get us up the pitch easier and quicker then it’ll allow Smith, McCowan and Walsh (hopefully) to get more chances to score. We’re not doing too badly actually taking chances but I can’t remember us actually creating much against Queens. We need someone who’ll allow us to get it into the final third and hold onto it.

Sorry, this really annoys me. I read about Corrie Ndaba, who in fairness could be a great addition to the Ayr Squad. Hopefully could work alongside Baird and drop Roscoe to the bench.

However, on reading the article, the last sentence said 'Ian Mccalls men sit 6th in the Scottish Championship'. I emailed to complain. Was nice enough to reply.
