rb123!
Tidser and Buchannan, two players i would have taken for us but instead have dropped to the seaside league to play for Falkirk. Meanwhile we wait at Somerset....
D'Jaffo
We couldn’t afford Tidser. Buchanan wasn’t very good last season.

railwayend
We were defo close to getting Doolan ,right up until Dundee arrived on the scene . McCall put Boyd's name out there ! Red herring ?? Then all this Premier defender patter ! Get the feeling there may be some miss direction going on . Maybe some "imminent" stuff tomorrow . Usually get a couple in to drive the season ticket sales ...

rb123!
Shankland to Sunderland a done deal apparently, scenes if he was immediately loaned back to us, one can dream lol. Could be laughing if we've managed to get a sell on because McCall was able to do it with Rose. Not sure if Shankland will be a pre-contract for Sunderland or not, depends when his Ayr contract is due to expire. Iain
Had read that Sunderland wouldn't be doing any business until a new partial takeover was concluded?

super_carson
I’m just speculating, but I’d assume that Coventry were happy to include a sell-on because Ayr were accommodating about speaking to Rose, or because Rose himself had it included as part of personal terms. When a player is out of contract the previous club is entitled to bugger all. Only way Ayr would get a sell on would be if Shankland himself agreed it as part of personal terms.

Was it ever confirmed what the sell on would be? I have a feeling that McCall probably went out of his way to ensure Rose was able to get down there and helped facilitate the move hence why Coventry were grateful to us.
ayrunitedfw
Would Aidan Nesbitt be worth a punt? Free agent after leaving Dundee United.

I think so, especially since we only have Forrest and McGuffie.
