It’s AYRshire. So not provincial.

concerning the regions outside the capital city of a country, especially when regarded as unsophisticated or narrow-minded.

That's what Google said. Confused me too. :-/ I just presumed it would be outside Glasgow, mind you it's to a Dundee supporter so I dunno :-/

Is the Dundonian version of Virginton being deliberately obtuse ?  We all know what tinfoil hattery involves.  We're swamped by it nowadays. I reckon it's almost de rigueur in Trumpland. The Donald certainly seems to encourage it, for obvious political reasons. I think Trogdor is simply suggesting Dee Man's opinions seem to be at the same intellectual level as your typical tin hatter. Tbf, I assume most of his comments are tongue in cheek, and he's not really as thick as he seems.

Just had a thought there.

Does anyone remember a shop up the old Kyle Street in Ayr that sold Ayr united shirts?

I remember Debenhams sold them soon after they threw that building up.

Why don't they sell Ayr shirts in the town centre?

Because if they only sell them via the club shop the club keep all the profits.

Thought that would be fairly obvious.

Does Finnies not still sell them ?????

Don't think Finnies is there anymore :-/

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a privately owned shop selling the shirts though, like an Ayr fan running the joint, so no worries about profit loss.

Think that is what it was called. Knocked it down for Debenhams, next to where the Kyle Bar used to be.

Dundee appear to be signing some forward from Shrewsbury. Would put them out the race for Shankland imo

Not that I think we're in the race, but that Sam Jones has been described as an attacking midfielder that can occasionally play up top. Even still though, we need at least another striker in even if Jones is an out and out forward.

Got a feeling we won’t see him in an Ayr top again.

Even if we do, at his age the injury will have taken its toll and he probably won’t be the same player he was before.

Hopefully I’m wrong though.

A fully fit Higgy will struggle to get into the starting 11 IMHO.
