The guy is a crackpot! He was accusing me of being posh because I lived in Troon once upon a time

You do have quite a long and sort of unique surname which less privileged individuals might perceive to be posh tbh.

Boyle, Reid, Waite and Avci have all left

I assume this is the first tranche?

I can understand retaining Hart (as backup) & Ferguson (as a utility player - also think he'll be cheaper than Reid).

All the best to Paddy, great at League One but not Championship quality. Will also miss big Reid.

Reid was always picking up wee injuries

So I am surprised he was free'd

Sad but not surprised to see Boyle go, signed as a marauding full back but has hardly crossed the half way line for 18 months, competent enough player that I wouldn't have been upset about staying on, much the same as Reid. Ferguson, like Rose in his first year was played out of position and maybe a settled run at some point will bring him on.

When crossed the half way line he scored against Stranraer [emoji3]

Good funny interview with Andy Geggan about 30 mins into the Soccer FM podcast. He’s a good larf.

Andy Geggan is absoulotely brilliant, having spent about ten hours fan boying in Harley’s on Saturday night I can confirm we have a great bunch of lads.

ETA: Good luck to Paddy Boyle and Craig Reid, Boyle has been a terrific servent but do feel league 1 is his level, should have no problem getting a club at this level. Personally would of kept Reid as could have provided cover at RB and CB but he goes with my best wishes, again I’d expect him to get a club at this level. Pair of top boys.

Surprised we haven’t had any raging, seething rants from yer boy Avci’s big sister on the Somerset Road End.

Will miss Paddy and Reidy

Paddy appeared from a mass of bodies during the pitch invasion and gave my beard a big tug saying it was lucky .  Always had a good laugh when I've met him, will be definitely missed at the club.

I think he was maybe a little bit off it at times in the championship plus he had started picking up a lot of wee injuries, I'm glad if he was to be away that it's with a winners medal.

I initially didn't take to Reid but as the season went on he was a very important player doing a good job for us.  I guess the fact he never really got over the injury he arrived with hasn't helped his chances of staying on.  He took me photoshopping his face onto loads of stuff well and got me to show his agent , good guy.

Hope they find new clubs without much issue.

Ah well it was great while he was Ayr.

Was hoping we could keep him but any scout who's been watching him more than once will be sending glowing reports on his performances.

All the best Lawrence.

Saw this on BBC website earlier too .

Not signed yet though but if he does it would be good if they "loaned" him back for a season.

Unlikely but it would be good.

Huge jump for him from League 1 to the Premiership, never really proved himself in the championship which i would have thought he'd want to do first.

Bit of a gamble from Hearts aswell taking him on and after his experience at Aberdeen i would have thought he would have a good think about it because chances there will be limited.

All the best if he does go though because i'd rather he moved to the Premiership than another Championship team.

He's talked about how much he has enjoyed being the main man here, as it's the first time he's experienced it. Would hate for him to jump at this Hearts move and end up being wasted on their bench. Having said that, if he does go, I'd rather it was somewhere like Hearts rather than another Championship team.

Have to echo what others have said about Paddy Boyle as well, it's the right decision but it's sad to see him go, I f***ing love that man. Farewell my prince.

Hearts with Lafferty, MacLean and the guy from Cambridge already. Shankland would be a big gamble. Think we’ll see a few of these stories after the season he’s had.
