Karpaty Lviv
Why weren’t we told after the first match that he was ineligible? Do these things get checked on a weekly basis? If we appeal I think that’s the only thing we can get turned over.
COM_Shepard
If your a Clyde player right now on that 4 hour bus journey to Elgin, you’re probably thinking to yourself what’s the point? To be fair if there is one manager in the league you would want at the helm at this time it’s DL. League is over and he just has to get them focussed on the playoffs which we can win with the quality of player we have. As fans the most important thing is that we continue to back the players and the manager until the end of the playoffs and direct our anger firmly at the board. Promotion is still possible.

Pie Of The Month
I think the punishment is probably the correct one but Clyde would have a reasonable point if they were to question why Hearts were only deducted 2 points in the league cup group sections earlier in the season for fielding an ineligible player.

Usually in a player registration foul up, it's the club secretary who carries the can. He /she is responsible for such matters.

The points deduction is based on the fact we won the first and drew the second game the player was involved in.. The points are basically just being recinded and the match results are 3-0 wins for the opposition. Just looked at that. As well as the two point deduction, Hearts were fined & 10k. We have had £1,500 off (of which all but £500 is suspended) so maybe we chose to have an extra point off rather than a larger fine? Total guesswork, though.

Might be a different offence of course but I just found the difference in punishment strange.

Yes but Hearts won the game in question so, by the same logic, should have lost three points not two. Also, their opponents, Cove Rangers, should have been awarded three points but weren't. Odd. Their fellow Directors rejected their resignation. David Dishon took full and sole responsibility for the f**k up 3 years ago, offered to resign and his resignation was rejected. It would be hypocritical for him now as Chairman to insist someone else resigns. Continue to back the manager and continue to back the Chairman and his decisions and we'll still get promoted. Keep the faith.
SLClyde
I did wonder about the hearts 2 point deduction, it meant they just managed to get through their betfred Cup group as opposed to being knocked out. Don’t know the ins and outs but seems strange to give more of a punishment to one than the other.
