New kits; 2023/24 Edition (bits and bobs from overseas)

Recommended Posts

In what is surely the most tinpot thing ever, Forest Green Rovers have stuck three stars onto the back of their shirts, of which one is gold and the other two greyed out.

I shit ye not, the club says the two gray stars stand for the ambition of the chairman to get the club promoted twice more, to the Championship.....

clearly trying to recapture an umbro strip from the early 90s but while it was nice,thats hideous

I had to check what that looked like. Now I remember. I did prefer the Buitoni and Mars sponsored NR kits from the turn of the decade (probably mostly due to the fact they had El Diego wearing them with style while inspring Napoli to all sorts of honours).

Chelsea FC Dri-FIT Squad Men's Football Top

I never realised such a thing existed until last night. Clubs have now introduced warm-up strips as obviously three league strips and two European strips aren't ripping fans off enough. This beauty monstrosity is available  from Chelsea for £52.45 inc postage.

Man City's. Same price.

The worst thing about this move is people will buy them. idiots.

Yeah I sometimes buy a club's training polos or tops as an alternative to the tops (sometimes they are nicer, not in the cases highlighted above).

At least he's stuck them away at the back. Can't really be bothered with these really should be only if you win a European competition like Aberdeen and Celtic have the Auckinleck one for the Scottish Junior Cup ones is the worst 12 I think which totally overshaddow's their badge.

I bought an Ajax training top a good number of years ago when I was at a game over there as it was nicer than their away kit, about 20 euro cheaper and still had the sponsors logo etc on it - I wore it to fives for a while - but I never heard it as being a "warm-up" kit til recently. I'm not sure if that means that they have a training kit AND a warm up kit but it wouldn't surprise me if they did. I think Adidas also make champions league tracksuits that they seem to wear during the Champions League music.

It's like Nike and adidas WANT to trigger epileptic seizures with those training kits, good grief.

Then again, I just stumbled across what might be the second-worst use of Condivo so far (second only to Anderlecht's skin suits). The chicken is the prize for winning man of the match, I've been told;

nowhere near as embarrassing as man city a few years ago who put 3 stars above their rebranded club crest for no reason whatsoever

Pardon the terribad collage skills, but I slapped together an overview of the 17 gambling sponsored home shirts in the English Championship. 32RED features no less than five times, LeoVegas twice, and ten online casinos/bookies have a single club each. Centre of the image shows the gambling awareness sleeve badge all teams will wear;

You'd think by now you'd have learned to check something out before ploughing in, spouting your shit and getting it really, really wrong again. Clearly.
