SFA's own website doesn't even have this weekend's games listed in the fixtures section (incredibly it actually says "There are currently no fixtures available"). There have been precisely 2 articles in the News section since last season's Final - announcing the 'Goal of the Tournament', and a feature about Tynecastle before last month's draws. There has been no activity whatsoever on the Scottish Cup twitter page since the draws were made almost 1 month ago. Believe it or not the Facebook page is even worse. From what I can see, the only way that someone would actually have established from the organisers that Tynecastle v Shortlees is now on Sunday is by drilling into the ref appointment lists. If the governing body and sponsor don't care enough to even recognise the early rounds existence then, realistically, the broadcaster isn't going to. Its terrible really when the SFA don't even make a big deal of their own tournament, That's the difference between England and Scotland the English pump the publicity on their leagues and tournaments to the max while here in Scotland we seem to do the opposite. We're normally good at copying other things off them like the SPFL with the silly league names shame the SFA couldn't follow their lead in something which would be positive and do a decent job in promoting their own bloody cup for a change. As someone said last night maybe streaming the Talbot v Banks o Dee cup tie wouldn't generate much viewing figures but we will never know how much folk would watch something like that until we tried it. vikingTON
Considering the BBC down south do it for the FA Cup there's no excuse that BBC Scotland can't do the same up here apart from them being too obsessed by the Old Firm. We really get short changed.Scottish football will always get short changed while its public broadcaster exists as a diddy, regional branch outpost of its Salford HQ. The idea of public interest broadcasting never crosses the border because it doesn’t have to.

As we know there's only 6 ties tomorrow. Tynecastle v Shortlees is on Sunday. It discusses the tie (recycling quotes from the draw) without mentioning that. It then lists the ties, and says they are on Saturday 11th, even though one of them isn't.
bendan
The BBC didn't have the scores on the website even though they managed an absolutely massive list of FA Cup preliminary ties (ranked ahead of the Scottish Championship).
The Master
While the Hampden vs Murrayfield debate will obviously take centre stage, do we think it likely the Scottish Cup TV contract will be discussed at the SFA board meeting today? It's ridiculous that nothing is in place with this season's competition already started.

There is little or no demand for TV coverage of the Scottish Cup until the Premiership* teams enter. *read Celtic and Rangers, or an Edinburgh derby if that is drawn again. I didn't say there was. That nevertheless doesn't take away from the fact that there is no TV deal in place for this year's competition despite it having started. bendan
I really can't see them getting a good deal when discussions continue after the competition has begun. You'd think some journos might bother asking what's going on.
