I think you've got to give a quarter of the season.

You've already slated his signings on the other thread now you're saying give him a quarter? Make your mind up!

Ffs I've questioned them, but hope they come good.

my gut instinct is they won't but I'm Falkirk to the core

I'm not questioning your support for the club

Would you rather Falkirk gave Houston more time to turn things around?

I think if you look at his record at United and Falkirk it is excellent prior to the start of last season. If it weren't for the bad luck of Rangers, Hearts and Hibs being in the league you'd have went up under him quite comfortably.

I'd have him back as manager of United. Great memories from his time in charge.

I agree Hartley deserves more time. There will be no hiding place if his almost complete squad turnover has failed.

I think the only people who will be confident for the new season are Dunfermline fans but we'll know more after the first quarter.

Check the bigger picture re. Hippo Miller at al

He made changes to a squad that was seriously underperforming, kept us out the relegation play offs, and with a performance in terms of form that was 2nd in the league from January to the end of the season. f**k Hippo and Miller, he did the right thing, borne out by the results.

Whit?

So it doesn’t matter that he completely turned our form around and took the 2nd most points in the league for the second half of the season because he got shot of a few players that you liked?

It wasn't happening with 'Hippo, Miller et al'! The squad needed changing as things had gone stale. Do you think we'd be challenging for promotion this season with Kerr, Watson, Loy etc? Granted Hartley's probably gone over the top with the changes however, his intention was to keep Sibbald, Longridge and Welsh so the number of changes made has maybe been forced on him to an extent.

Not really

wtf?

He took over a team in a similar state and position as St Mirren were in the season before. Jack Ross was hailed as amazing when he managed to avoid the playoffs on goal difference. Hartley took us to 17 points clear of the playoffs.
