It’s Matt Bamford and he can’t do much as the secretary was voted in by the clubs!

As was Matt and every other office bearer and management committee member. They are all equally responsible for making sure that all of the region's constitution and rules are enforced.

Correct.

There can't be certain rules which are enforced rigidly and others which are disregarded just because they are difficult to implement. The clubs voted for a fixtures arrangement, the secretary must implement that. If it becomes obvious that it doesn't work, then the clubs can vote to change it again. However, not even trying to implement it, and just carrying on with the old way of doing things that the clubs voted to change, just because you don't think it will work, is not acceptable. The only way to prove something doesn't work is to try it. You can't prove something doesn't work if it's never been tried. If you feel you are incapable of implementing what the clubs have voted for, then don't make yourself available for the job.

I don't know for certain, but that is what I am informed is the case. Perhaps somebody more informed than me could confirm or contradict ?

If it was a simple case of 'first past the post' the winner could possibly be in the post with a minority of the club vote.

ie - Candidate A - 20 votes, Candidate B - 21 votes and Candidate C - 22 votes.

Candidate C would be elected, but 41 clubs would not have voted for him.

To ensure he's in the role with the democratic support of the clubs, Candidate A would drop out and there would be another vote between Candidates B & C.

If however the voting was - A- 16, B - 15 and C - 32.

C would be elected as that is a majority of the 63 clubs if they were all in attendance and voted.

The clubs will have the chance to vote him out AGAIN!

It will be the clubs who decide whether they think he’s doing a good job or not.

Ridiculous that there are no fixtures beyond 12th May.

Why are Arthurlie playing Beith on Wednesday when both don't have a fixture on Sat 12th?

Last week he had Maryhill v Rutherglen Glencairn at 7pm on Monday night, with all of the players and supporters rushing through the traffic to get there in time, and then both teams had Saturday off.

Glorious night to watch football .a backlog and not One game on in the top division. FARCE

To be fair to Fixtures Man on this occasion, it is a Bank Holiday and some teams might have struggled for players tonight.

Here we sit on a Monday night not knowing who or where you may be playing next Monday.Never mind bar/ catering, players and committees need to arrange their time to be available.

Here they are named and shamed , the West region committee who oversee this nonsense.

President  M.Bamford Clydebank.

VP  C. Chisholm Talbot

B McNamara  Winton Rovers.

G.Morton Cumnock.

A McDowall Gartcairn.

G Ronney  Kilbirnie

T Anderson Lanark

F McNeil Pollok

J Wilson V.o C.

Get on their cases each and every one of them.

Played on today’s date before. Can recall quite a few times in late 90s deciding between a game of football or watching Hendry win another snooker world title !
