Atmosphere was good all day mate.

Lets face it, Motherwell is a nothing backwater which punches well above its weight. In no country in the world should a provincial town like that compete with somewhere that matters.

State of this. It really says it all that the best thing these folk can think of to do after lifting the nation's biggest honour is fly the flag of another country then try to bait people online with this pish.

Congratulations to Celtic on winning what must have been the Irish cup.

Yeah looks like we really weren’t bothered about winning the cup.

We get slagged for over celebrating goals on here yet get told it doesnt mean the same for us. We also used to be told its not the same without an open top bus...

Just face it we thoroughly enjoy every cup/league win.  Some matter more than others but some of the best feelings of my life if not the best so far have been watching Celtic.

If Motherwell wanna improve they need to pay their players more imo.

Yes, absolutely.  That would do it because they'd then have better ones.  Unfortunately, they can't afford to do that.

It really is that simple I'm afraid, despite your wish to pretend there's more to it.

Celtic have some really obese fans.

Motherwell tried but ultimately just didn’t have that final touch.

Celtic always looked dangerous going forward.

This game was still much more interesting than the Red wanks vs. Blue wanks later.

Celtic fans very sensitive about whether people think they celebrate cups enough.

They have certainly proved people wrong by coming onto a football forum in the immediate aftermath of winning a cup to tell people that it really does mean a lot.

Beaten by the better side on the day.

If we had started the game as we played in the second half then I feel the outcome may have been different but you get the feeling Celtic had another gear anyway.

A tremendous achievement for a club with our resources getting to two finals in a season and hopefully we’ll get there again sometime soon.

Onwards and upwards.

Truly the lowest expectations in football. Ever.

We're not a side awash with quality players and have the second lowest budget in the league. We do though have a team who are capable of fighting tooth and nail and throughout the season this has brought us alot of joy. Not least two Cup runs in which we thumped Aberdeen in both with an aggregate score of 6-0 and sent their dour mushed followers slithering away back up the road, what's not to be proud of?

We all know that Aberdeen wouldn't have fared any better than we did against Celtic yesterday.

To be honest I think our 'revival' in the second half was more down to Celtic easing up knowing the game was won rather than anything else. If they had to up the pace and score more goals then they would have done.

The damage was done in the first 25 minutes. Celtic settled very quickly and their movement and ball use was too much for us early doors and it was no surprise that they found themselves 2-0 up within half an hour. The second goal was soft from our point of view though and that's disappointing.

Parochial piffle of the highest order. Yer team were poor in the first half and were beaten by two decent strikes. If you want to see handicaps in sport f**k off to the horse racing or the Paralympics (no offence intended to Paralympians.)

Or he could watch rugby. Or American football. Basketball. Baseball. Australian rules football. They all have salary caps and yet manage to be hugely popular.

Or he could watch football, seeing as salary caps are already in use in some leagues.

Scottish football is the most unequal sporting league in the world. Maybe we should try and learn from sports which actually are able to sell their TV rights for more than a few buttons.
