HibeeJibee
BTSport have already taken a couple of non-Premiership games, whether buying them ad hoc or swapping them for Premiership games? They were to show Ayr v Inverness in December and did show Ayr v Dundee Utd last month, as well as showing last week's Ross County v East Fife cup-tie. Working other way BBC Alba showed Dunfermline v Partick in league in September, Dundee Utd v Ayr in November, Morton v Ross County last month, plus Ross County v Ayr this midweek. BBC Alba cut back their coverage at the start of the season but they still committed to showing 6 live Championship/League One games I think? (Down from 10 or so in previous seasons)

Either they weren't interested in the earlier rounds of they weren't allowed to show them. I will go for the first option.
The Master
The rights to the Challenge Cup have been a bit of a mess since the first season of the new format. It was originally Premier Sports, BBC Alba and S4C. But Premier seem to have dropped their interest (which let’s be honest only ever existed because the Celtic and Sevco ‘B’ teams were in the competition). In fact, I don’t think Premier showed any games that didn’t involve either Celtic/Sevco ‘B’, or an Irish team. Maybe BT have taken over Premier’s portion of the rights now they’ve got bigger fish to fry with the Scottish Cup? Still odd though that they simulcasted the BBC Alba semi-final.
HibeeJibee
They showed 3 consecutive Celtic 'B' ties, Crusaders v Livingston and 2 QFs in 2016-17. Haven't shown any ties since AFAICS. Bit odd if a new broadcaster or deal wasn't announced, though. It has been haphazard. BBC Alba showed both SFs in 2016-17, no R2 tie this season or last, and S4C didn't show any QF this season. peternapper
When does the Irn-Bru sponsorship end, you would not think they would be over pleased with the farce the competition has been turned into.

This is season #3 of 3:https://spfl.co.uk/news/irn-bru-adds-fizz-to-challenge-cup However:https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/sport/football/scottish-football/irn-bru-ready-to-put-more-fizz-into-the-cup/ 25th October 2018 The SPFL is in talks with Irn-Bru to extend their sponsorship of the Challenge Cup. The tournament has been backed by the drinks giant since the 2016/17 season. The Evening Express understands that the three-season deal which is now in its final year is worth £100,000 per campaign. Now the SPFL are in negotiations about the possibility of extending the agreement and the league body is hopeful of a slight increase on the current deal. Many within Scottish football have been critical of the changes which they say have demeaned the competition formerly played for Scottish teams outwith the Premiership. However, it is understood that Irn-Bru are happy with the format of the Challenge Cup and believe the revamped competition is popular with supporters.

It was a 12.15 kick off although it was played on an international weekend. They showed 3 consecutive Celtic 'B' ties, Crusaders v Livingston and 2 QFs in 2016-17. jaggyness
Excellent, the nomads stuck in the part of the stand with no cover. Hope for their bus load of fans sake it isn't raining

ShaggerG
Best of luck to County in this. Be aware though, they will try every underhand tactic in the book to try to put you off your game. Their management team, the assistant in particular, will be jumping around like maniacs attempting to goad both players and fans alike hoping to get a reaction. County players will need to keep their cool.
algy
What's the ticket situation for the final? Have they gone on sale at Ross County yet? Not heard a peep from Connah's Quay Nomads ...

In a way I'm glad it's not just that Dumbarton fans waning the Nomads to lose, it seems to be fans of every Scottish club they've played that want to see them not only lose but humiliated!
lionel wickson
Hope it turns into a brackets scoreline in favour of County.

I got some for the main stand, dead centre in the lower section - this is what County were selling under the direction that they need to sell the bits of the ground the camera will be on most.
