Fuctifano
Obviously pretty difficult for us, but if you held a gun to my head and asked me to think about our season and name a player of the year...I'd just tell you to pull the trigger tbh. killiefan27
Think it’s no coincidence that our initial upturn in form under Sir Steve coincided with having Gary Dicker back, he’s such an important player for us. Think ours has to be Boydy though. Many (including me) thought he was finished but he’s been banging in the goals since Clarke’s arrival
well fan for life
Carson. The number of games he's ensured we've taken points with vital saves is incredible. Also coming in after Craig Samson and his lettuce hands it's lovely to not feel nervous any time anyone shoots. Honourable mentions to Kipre and Tait, though. capt_oats
As Swello and well fan for life say: Carson. 100%. He's already matched Ruddy's record of 15 clean sheets with at least 6 games still to play. That club record was subsequently bettered by Randolph but either way to have a goalkeeper come in after a season of Samson and be in the same sort of performance bracket of two of our best goalkeepers in decades and guys who went on to play EPL football is worthy of note. The biggest compliment I can pay him is that he makes his saves look effortless. Absolutely zero fuss. Had Moult stuck around he'd obviously have been in the conversation, same with Hartley had he not ended up injured back in December/January. There are a few honourable mentions for the likes of Tait but overall Carson's effect on the team has been transformative.
RussellAnderson
Kenny McLean. They guy's been fantastic since January. McKenna second and Shinnie third. McLean's technique is phenomenal.
Comrie
Jason Naismith by a distance. Then Alex Schalk. The rest of the team has had occasional spurts of quality (JOB, DKD) but have generally lurched from awful to honking and back again.
Ya Bezzer!
Would go for Trevor Carson on performance but Allan Campbell has probably been our most important player this season in terms of making the team tick.
The_Kincardine
Toss up between Tavernier who has improved hugely as a defender and Candeias who has proven himself both in attack and defence.

As far as I can remember he had one save of note to make. He stood up, made the save, laughed, high-fived his defenders then just went back to casually plucking crosses out the air on the penalty spot. Zero fuss, no drama. That was his 16th clean sheet of the season. 3 more and he’ll equal Randolph’s club record.

GrahamJags
Christie Elliott gets my vote for ours. He’s only played 5 games or something - that’s how shite we’ve been.
Mr Heliums
Almost embarrassing how O'Halloran's performances in August kept us up. But they did.

He was excellent but let's not get carried away. He got us three points instead of one at Rugby Park undoubtedly but would we really not have beaten eight-man Motherwell without him? Equally, he scored the winner against Thistle but his impact wasn't as it was at Rugby Park. Worst case scenario, we drop five points without O'Halloran's August contribution IMO. But then if we don't sign him, maybe we can afford Miles Storey and Thistle don't beat us in October... You get the idea. Having given if more thought, I'd vote for Mannus as our Player of the Year. Guest Bob Mahelp
Kenny McLean. The only player who's consistently turned up this season. And he's not even a Dons player.

He's only made one appearance on the bench for us, taking him back was just another strange decision from us. Should've left him where he was.
