Torpar
Anyone else on here have any interest in lacrosse? I admit before moving to Canada I knew very little about it but after watching a Toronto Rock (terrible nickname) game I started to get quite into it. Similar to my interest in rugby, I only like one 'code' and have little interest in the other. Toronto play in the NLL which plays box lacrosse, the indoor 6 a side version played on a covered ice hockey rink as opposed to outdoor 10 a side field lacrosse. The NLL used to be an easy league to follow as one of the main sports networks TSN covered it and showed live games, but now have dropped it, I'm guessing to make room for thrilling sports like curling and golf

Melanius Mullarkey
I remember out PE teacher Vivienne Welsh (Kenny Welsh’s sister for those of an Elgin based persuasion), found a load of lacrosse sticks in the PE cupboard one afternoon. She hadn’t a clue what they were and went to get a book to find out the rules. After a few weeks we got to grips with it and it was actually quite enjoyable. interetingly, Vivienne was the only teacher to give me the belt.
