Clyde vs Montrose

Recommended Posts

Huge game for both clubs. We really need to win to keep play offs in sight and  other results to go our way whereas Montrose could put down a big marker for the run in to be crowned champions. Should be a good game.

Agree important for both teams but both will be keen to keep the back door shut. The Mo have unusually 'given' goals away at Berwick and at home to Peterhead but must get back to being as tight as a duck's arse at the back. We know Clyde can take their chances and their recent good run of form started at Links Park back in January with a 3-1 win. Dodgy game for the Mo then but on the other hand if Clyde get too much on the front foot and don't take advantage then Montrose will punish them. Could go either way.

Will the Mo settle for a draw ? or do you
Think they will go all out for the win

Tight game first goal crucial

Certainly game of the day this weekend. Clyde have been one of the form teams since the turn of the year and must fancy their chances of reaching the play offs. Hopefully their promotion push comes off the rails this weekend but you get back on track next week (at P/heed).
Hard one to call this week. Clyde on form but Mo with the best away record in in the country and only bettered by Man City in the UK. One away defeat all season is a record to be proud of.
My prediction :-
Clyde 1 Mighty Mo 2

Didn't know about away record that's impressive .Last time Montrose were at broadwood they came for a point we weren't much better . This one should be a lot more entertaining with both teams really needing a win
Difficult one to call , is there many Montrose fans making the trip down , hope they do make for a good atmosphere , should be a good turn out from home support

Montrose's 352 we've dealt well with since DL came in. Game at Broadwood we basically matched up directly with them, so much so that both teams ended up changing as the game progressed as it was a complete stalemate.

The game at Links Park we completely over-ran them in the middle of the pitch with Lamont/Cuddihy, and Goodwillie got better and better as the game progressed. We're a better side now with McStay and Boyle added to that team, albeit Montrose also now have Ballantyne back to give them natural wing-backs on both sides. We've had a decent practice recently with both Elgin and Edinburgh playing that way so I'd not expect a different formation or set-up to Tuesday.

It'll be interesting to see who Montrose play up front as it seems like they do something slightly unexpected every time we play them.

Hopefully a good crowd as a win here would give us incredible momentum going into another run of away games.
