The only thing that's keeping Accies afloat is Partick & County losing every week too as we are woeful.

Need the Jambos to do us a favour against Dundee tomorrow too.

For the overly pessimistic you can get 18/1 on Accies to finish bottom...

Killie's shape was solid all day, hence why we were constantly trying to feed it in behind. I thought it was fairly even for a lot of the game, but Hughes, McMann and Sarris tried their best to swing it in Killie's favour thanks to some horrendous lack of organisation. The first goal came from Ferguson and McMann being confused as to who should've gone out to, I believe, O'Donnell. This gave him that wee bit more time to cross it in. Sarris can't defend in the wide areas, so MacKinnon had to help a lot which gave so much space for Dicker and Power, not allowing us to get out. The second goal was a shambles.

The second half was a bit of a non-event but Accies came into it for the last 25 minutes or so: Rojano had a brilliant chance from a free-kick, MacDonald had two good saves from corners that no Accies player followed up and he had another good one from Ferguson.

I didn't think it was as bad as some have made it out to be, but we're not going to pick up any points until the split.

Well that was shite, and its obvious to me why. Why mess about with a defense that was working. Imrie/Lyon, Want, Tomas, VDW, Mcmann was clearly our best back line, it's no coincidence that Sarris comes back in and it all goes to shit, he should have been out the door with Skondras. Mcmann has been awful almost all season, and only looked capable when beside VDW.

The attacking shuffling again is baffling, I understand today as Temps was injured and Ferguson was out with Scotland on the Wednesday but, why throw in Bingham and Hughes out of no where.

It's seems an easy fix to me, get Sarris to f**k and we will stop conceding stupid early goals.

ETA - Take nothing away from Killie though, they were organised and carried out their roles effectively man to man. Steve Clarke has done a tremendous job and clearly proved he is a quality manager, surely plenty of clubs will be queueing for his signature.

A striker being desperate to score.

Who would’ve thought it.

Well, he certainly didn't pick up that particular bad habit from his time with us

Last 20 mins was better when Miller came on. I would start him on Tuesday if Temps is injured.

Looks quite similar to Templeton in terms of his drive and dribbling. He also had a couple of clever passes. That miss after Rojano handballed it was woeful, which hopefully isn't a sign of things to come.

Was Hughes the number 8? Thought he was Accies best player when he came on, the absolute sitter he missed aside.

No 23 that started and got ragdolled by Erwin.

Number 8 was Mickel Miller who rose to fame on Jamie Vardy’s tv programme

The phrase "routine win" was invented for games like today. Went in to it in very little doubt of getting the three points and easy to see why on the balance of play. We started well and did well to take a goal from our opening pressure. Hamilton then turned the game in to the sort of dross they specialise in, not making for much of a spectacle with lots of the usual dirty, niggly stuff we've come to expect from guys like Mackinnon and Imrie - two wee neds with no footballing ability who swagger about like they're hardmen but never got near the Killie midfield all game.

Thought Erwin took his goal well, and laugh of the day has to come from the Hamilton keeper somehow letting O'Donnell's knock back in to the box slip through and in to his net. To be fair, that came from a corner won by a Brophy shot, and the play in the lead up to that chance was excellent, with Power starting it in our own half, passes across the defence, a run from Taylor and a crossfield ball - so we probably deserved a second at that point. I'd be keen to know who it gets officially awarded to, as it looked like Dicker maybe flicked it on its way through the box.

Special mention to Stuart Findlay for his 40th minute challenge, lunged in about 5 yards out and stopped what was a certain goal with a tackle that was as clean as a whistle. Really great defending. Lovely to see that we've stalwarts like Jones, Mulumbu and Broadfoot missing today, but none of them are by any means certs to come back in. Even Greg Kiltie is struggling to get back in to the starting 11. Great to have options, and thought Clarke got his choices right once again today by opting for the forward three with Rory in to do the hard work.

Wouldn't be fair to say Hamilton never troubled us at all as Macdonald had to scramble to gather the ball on his line a couple of times near the end, but a comfortable win and no sign of throwing away the two goal lead the way we did under McCulloch earlier in the season.

Got on to the pitch for the presentation of the Community Hero award as it was me who nominated Ross. Fair to say we had a ball and my 4 year old was well chuffed at getting a kick of the match ball before the game.

On to next Saturday and the wee fella's first away game!
