Recommended Posts

All pie and bovril well wishers of Cowdenbeath Football Club please find attached link to our clubs 135 page for a minimum donation of £10. You can find further details on the clubs Webpage about Club 135 and named donators.

We all love the banter on here but this is beyond banter where we are at a stage of survival which is never a nice situation to be in for any fan of their  own beloved club. Situations like these  footballing rivalrys are out the window and hopefully Scottish Footballs community can help Cowdenbeath F.C together remain in it's already well established Scottish footballing history of 137 years.

So if you have affection for Cowdenbeath or a connection with the town please consider donating.

If the underlying cause of Cowden's financial problems is the lack of ownership of the ground, lack of rent income etc. as stated, then how would even the desired sum of £135k solve such a massive problem? What specific proposals or plans would be pursued with the funds to ensure that you wouldn't just require another donation in a few years' time?  The campaign ought to gain the support of the local community and possibly add some more small investors from that as well, but I can't see too many others signing up for a scheme that hasn't as yet provided a realistic plan for a sustainable future.

This will probably be clarified at an up and coming Public Meeting. It's main aim is for the local community and well wishers of Cowdenbeath to get behind it.

virginton is on the money here. You’d have to be extremely emotionally attached to the club (of which we clearly don’t have enough) or mad to donate money to that as it looks to be going into a black hole.

Perhaps when more information comes out it will provide more clarity.

Probably that Playoff Winners photo at EEP on the link. Good luck raising funds off the Pars fans just 4 years after all the GIRFUYs from all the Cowden fans.

At least there'll probably be a Lowland League club 2 miles up the road seeing as that are where the Blue Brazil are destined to end up anyway.

@Cowden316 As a man obsessed with the Cowden, I'm very much conscious that this 'public meeting' has been coming for about 6 months, and still doesn't seem to have taken place. Again, as a man obsessed, I also know there's a board member on here who posts regularly. How about he takes the blue-tinted goggles off and starts being honest?
