I'm all for a federal united Europe, and for expanding a union beyond Europe. It won't happen in my lifetime unfortunately.

This position is consistent with wanting regional devolution and an actual application of the principle of subsidiarity.

I just happen to believe that National identity is a construct of feudal society that has been appropriated by capitalist interests.

Sure lol.  Convenient and creative way to mask the fact you're a raging British nationalist.  If you want a federal Europe you must want Scotland to leave the UK.  Right?

This is the sort of pish I’d expect to hear from a second year politics student at 2 in the morning pissed on cheap lager.

The sort that goes on to scrape a 2:2.

The reason we joined the Union was entirely to satisfy feudal capitalist interests.

I got 4 ‘O’ levels.

Not smart enough for O-Grades then.

P.S. I got an O-Grade in Arithmetic and we were allowed to use a calculator. Got an A, presume everyone did. It was about the time when slide rules were getting phased out.

O-levels predated O-grades.

Which ones?

Maths, arithmetic, physics, English.

Hard to believe maths and arithmetic were separate subjects.

I failed art and metalwork.

Did you grow up in England? A school friend moved to England and back briefly and thought O-levels were harder.

I'm older than you, I think (I'm 65), and I sat O Grades.

I got O Grade Arithmetic and Higher Grade Maths

I too did Arithmatic and Maths as separate subjects.

It appears we have something in common.

I’ve never grown up but have lived all my life in Scotland.

Now I think about it, it was O grades not O levels.  Sorry!

We 2-2 types forgive easily.
