BBC bias

Kuenssberg strikes me as someone who’s politics is driven by who will give her an exclusive.

Boris was good for her career and that’s about all that matters to her.

I will repeat the old comment.  “Robert Peston was so far up Boris Johnson’s arse he could see Laura Kuenssberg’s feet.”

Never a truer word.

Watched the Panorama last night and it was almost entirely her saying he got the big decisions right. Can someone please tell me a single big decision he got right? He made Brexit worse than it was inevitably going to be, he's allowing migrants to be shipped off to Rwanda, He cost us a fortune by handing out unnecessary multi billion pound PPE contracts to his pals during covid but aye he got all the big decisions correct.

Not to mention the big decision he got wrong over Mr Pincher that cost him his job.

No, not the BBC

“The BBC said it noted the Ofcom ruling, but is not obliged to broadcast or publicise it.“

I can't see anything on the BBC news website about this finding. Not in the politics section or the News/Scotland page. Of obviously far more concern is a singer being too lazy to make a new album and a story about a football fan getting free refreshments because he was hit by a ball.

Good to see that the beeb's priorities are spot on!

Interesting framing on the BBC homepage. The language immediately paints the workers taking industrial action as the bad guys.

I understand where you're coming from but I think that's a perfectly acceptable headline. Most people don't care about wage negotiations, they care about whether their train is going to be cancelled or not. Framing it from the passengers' perspective is the logical way to do it.

Never thought I’d see the day that Countryfile would get political. Currently putting the boot in to the Scottish Government re the ferries issue and putting words into people’s mouths. The entire feature was a thinly veiled opportunity to have a dig. Not saying that the SG are innocent, far from it but there are other factors involved.

Countryfile has always been hunter wellied, ruddy faced, the miracle of lambing season toryporn. This is the least surprising thing I've read in some time.

Commonwealth Games: England denied dramatic relay gold by disqualification https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/commonwealth-games/62460335

Not politics but the absolute bitterness here is rather amusing:

Scotland were promoted to bronze.

Their team of Zoey Clark, Beth Dobbin, Jill Cherry and Nicole Yeargin, rather than England, climbed the podium in front of a half-empty Alexander Stadium when the medal ceremony took place.

Your own career being all that matters to you is the very definition of being a raging Tory.
