Didn't he get them into the playoffs last season as well? Last season we had a good shout at 2nd and barely picked up any points once it was clear we’d be in the play offs anyway and finished 4th. We went into the play offs on the back of a poor run and unsurprisingly were out by th end of the first leg. This season now looks to be heading the same way, but with several teams fancying their chances of making the PO, we may well slip out of the top 4 altogether. And that's before you start getting to baffling team selections and his dealings in the transfer market, where our problems were evident, and only got solved half way through the season, and even then, we decide to create that same problem with, you guessed it, baffling team selections. We would have been 'knocking on 2nd and a certainty for the play offs' had we taken four points from the last two league games. Instead we are in neither position, in large part because of the manager's decision to field absolute jobbers like Baird in both games instead of what is demonstrably our strongest eleven. If he had fielded our best team on Saturday and the likes of Lamie had stunk the place out anyway and lost the game then Duffy wouldn't be getting slaughtered right now.
