Don’t leave the vicinity to answer their phones when around people who don’t necessarily want to hear their conversation.

I once stood near to someone who answered their phone not once, but twice at a graveside during a funeral

If they're from the central belt, especially in the western direction, think everywhere north of where they live in the Highlands.  I even saw someone refer to Montrose as in the Highlands once.  It isn't.

Also, they consider Inverness to be in the north-east.

Inverness is north and east of Glasgow so they would be correct.

Is Inverness not actually a slightly further west in terms to longitude to Glasgow?  If not, it's very close.

Yes in fact it's possibly even further west than Paisley

Take horoscopes and superstitions seriously.

Use their 'big light' in the evenings.

Both my OH & I have called it the 'Cooncil Light' ever since I saw this reference on here a while back.
