He should be in and around the first team/subs from now on.  It's easy to criticise him for having not impressed for Scotland so far but he needs time with the squad to settle in.

Right. It’s funny how certain players are given that time, and others aren’t.

Fairly sure McTominay, McGregor and McGinn will form the midfield three.   With Armstrong being asked to perform the role Christie did so well in the last two games.    Armstrong has been really good at breaking the lines in the last few games.    Fletcher up top supported by two inside forwards in Fraser and Forrest.

So we're going to play with 12 men then?

There's also Robertson and Tierney to fit in to the lads team.

Very good goal, good on him.

Good stuff Greeny keeps them in the mix for top 4.

Doesn’t bother me either way, good to see McTominay playing first team football though.

I thought he was quite poor the 25/30 minutes I watched. I've no idea if he's naturally a defensive midfielder but the areas he was running into in an attacking sense were not right.

He was the best United player on  the park by a distance. Really good performance.

And the above comment is nonsense.  His positioning  and timing of his runs was excellent, should have had a 2nd goal with his header.

He did have a decent game but there have not been that many of them for united.

Maybe he is good enough for us but there has never been enough so far to suggest this, he is finding his way in club football so let him get on with that and if he shows extended good form , then consider him for international football.

Just because he has limited game time on the books of Manchester United doesn’t make automatically ready or good enough for international football

Manchester United fans don’t think he is Manchester United standard though , he will still probably be shipped out on loan somewhere in the summer .

Any player who's playing regularly, I'm classing 16 games this season as regular, for one of the top teams in European football is good enough to be playing for Scotland.

None of our current midfield or attacking players would get near the top 6 teams in England.

The comment about his positioning and attacking runs is nonsense, but he was at fault for the pass that lead to Young getting sent off which arguably lost United the game last night.

It also doesn't make him not good enough. Kean has only played four professional games in his club career but started twice for his national team last month and scored in both games.

If you're referring to Moise Kean he's played a lot more than 4 games, he was a regular on loan at Hellas Verona last season

Think he shouldn't be anywhere near that Man Utd team.

So going by some chat on here he should be one of our first picks because he plays for man utd ?

People routinely make this argument about McTominay, as if people can only think he’s good because of his club rather than coming to that conclusion based on his performances.

If that was the only reason people rated him just as many people would have called for Donald Love to be called up when he played a few games for Manchester United. While a few idiots did, it was nowhere near the same number now calling for McTominay to get a game; because where Love was consistently terrible McTominay isn’t, meaning people are looking at our alternatives in his position and concluding that he’s the best option based on his ability rather than his club.
