Hard Drive To Dvd

Recommended Posts

First of all you need to find out what format they are in. My best advice for a novice DVD burner is to download a program called DivX to DVD Converter. It will convert avi, mpeg, divx, etc into vob format. From there, you simply go into Nero, select BURN DVD, and drop the vob file into the box.

Hope this helps mate

I've just done the same sort of thing recently. Except I downloaded from VHS video to my hard drive using Pinnacle Studio AV/DV 9.1.2. Once I created the AVI files or MPG files I had to get software such as Ulead Moviefactory 4. In there the software allows you to make data dvd's, mp3 dvd's and video slideshow dvd's etc. Software like this allows you to burn the files onto DVD no bother.

ULead is excellent. TMPG is also really good.

The one thing that I would stress for newboes is to understand all the different file formats that can be used. After you have done that its a piece of cake! :P
