Must win game imo!

For both teams. I'd say a win for Fife puts enough distance between them and the bottom three to secure safety. A win for the Rovers - a rare thing nowadays - would be a major boost for the run-in.

Thought we played well in spells and limited Albion to very little, albeit a bit shaky at the back at times but after the poor run we've been on it's no surprise. Hopefully this will boost confidence and we can pull away to safety. Very poor crowd today, again no surprise. Well done Fife

Two quality finishes by Dunsmore and Duggan gave East Fife an overall deserved win. After a couple of early scares, we gradually took control and got in behind the Rovers defence but couldn’t get anyone on the end of the crosses. A great piece of work by Dunsmore carved an opening an he cooly slotted past the keeper. A great volleyd finish by Duggan from 6 yards gave us a bit of breathing space. Only question  at half time was would this be enough as the Rovers would have wind advantage 2nd half.  Rovers huffed and puffed 2nd half without really creating any real openings. Only a great stop from the Rovers keeper stopped East Fife adding to their lead,,and we saw the game out easier than I thought we would. This was mainly due to a spirited fighting performance from those in the black and gold.Something we haven’t seen for a while. One thing that can be said is the players all looked like they played for the manager as they gave their all to a man. A lot of fans stayed away today and no one can blame them, hopefully we maintain this standard next week and don’t fall back to our half hearted ways . However as we have said before it’s the hope that kills you when you think you have turned the corner, then the following week back to square one. Let’s all hope for more consistency in the last quarter of the season. Any way credit to Darren Young and the team for getting the 3 points in a must win game.

Very important 3 points and has opened up a bit of breathing space between ourselves and Albion Rovers, albeit they have a few games in hand. Going by the highlights the defence still looks quite shaky and we are gifting teams too many chances, some very nice saves from McKenzie though.

Maybe that was the little bit of luck we were due though and hopefully can get a little run together and make the end of the season far more comfortable.

Was the Crowd only 390? If so wtf?

I was clearly a poor crowd but it felt comfortably more than that but who knows. From the highlights, not many in the away end but even then for 390, the home end would have to be just over a quarter full. I didn't think it was that empty.

Good performance though. It felt like a bit of a pivotal game. Lose and we're in the middle of a real relegation battle, win and we've got a decent bit of space so we really needed that. Thought McKenzie in goals and Allardice at centre back were excellent. Very good signings.
