So basically if you are a second behind a car under the VSC you can jump in the pitlane, drive right through and come out ahead as you are faster than the guy in front? Andrew Benson claiming that a pit stop under VSC conditions is 10 seconds quicker than a pit stop under normal racing conditions. I would’ve thought that they would take the same amount of time and it only seems quicker as the other cars as going slower than you while you are in the pits. Being lucky is part of the sport, either using a Safety Car to your advantage or when to switch tyres in changing weather conditions.
