What do you bring? Serious question.

ETA: Because it's certainly not a good away support or an atmosphere. #AMIRITE!?

They bring haggis pies and that's as good a reason as any for wanting them to overtake Thistle.

One of these days, I hope someone starts a thread, writes an article or posts a tear-stained rant, explicitly saying what each team "brings to the league".

I usually find that the P&B favourite trope of 'bring nothing to the league' means 'don't have a lot of people attending your matches'.

I'd suggest it's not an exaggeration to say that a large percentage of posters on here would genuinely like to see the 12 best supported clubs compete year after year in closed shop top division.

It sounds an interesting idea till I remember it gives United a free pass back to the Premiership. So no deal. I think most of the "bring nothing to the league" crew would back off  when they thought through the implications. We'd rather whinge and sneer at smaller clubs than have a boring, hermetically sealed league that could never offer us the thrill of dodging the drop or the ecstasy of tipping our closest rivals over the cliff edge.

No, not at all like the rest (Accies excepted)

This will be good. What do Dundee bring to the topflight?

I mean, in my lifetime, Dundee have got one more top six finish than County and that's about it. The same number of cup finals (but less cup wins). Even Dundee's highest finish is the same as County's. Bar a few more fans (imagine, a club from a city of ~150000 people drawing more fans than County!), Dundee have pretty much brought the same amount to the topflight as County.

The Derry Rhumba, m9. That and the Dundee Derby (when both Dundee teams are in the same league). Unfortunately, Ross County and Inverness just isn’t the same draw.

MacGregor's 20+ year involvement in County is, of course, entirely relatable to Brooks Mileson's stint at Gretna.

Put your own/company money into a small club, to the point of wage bills being far beyond the capabilities of the club, in the hope of building them into a top flight standard club. Gretnas plan or Countys?

You know yourself the money spent at County is completely unsustainable. You spent almost £100k last Summer on one player.

I like the trip to Dingwall,  mainly because we start drinking at 8am and are in Inverness for opening time. Only really stop for a couple of pints in actual Dingwall, back to Inverness sharpish then last train around 8pm. In Perth for the last few pints before a nightclub, if we're still standing.

The actual football I could do without tbh.

The sneering at teams with a small fanbase doesn't sit well with me. I've seen us take some terrible numbers through to some away games. Teams are where they are on merit.

Wishing Accies or County relegation on the basis of having small travelling support is a bit silly anyhow considering they're likely to be replaced by Livingston.

What have they done to you over there M9? Something's not right.

I think we can all agree that the highlight of this thread has been the fellow taking photos of the match today on his TV to rip our away support.

OFTW.

It's only because we won.

If we'd lost I'd have been saying I wished you lot and County would take your 17 fans into the diddy league.

Dont say it too loudly, but didn't you take more fans to your last Scottish Cup Final than Dundee's 17,000 when they last played a Scottish Cup Final, (or us in our last one).

We did win ours, but it's not much of a consolation when the other team have more fans there than you.

Would have liked County to stay up, I like the Highlands to be represented in the top league, and it's a far better ground to visit than The Caley stadium. Fear it's too late for County now though sadly...

Do you not go to matches against County because you're afraid of the A9 road?

County also brought in £500k from one player last summer.

As I've said, the Gretna/County comparisons don't really work, it's just lazy, and it's quite obvious that MacGregor isn't a Brooks Mileson type chancer.

You’re being a silly billy RandomGuy. I presume like most I  prefer to drive 120 miles  on a motorway  rather than on a road with 1 lane in either direction.

The teams I have wanted to see go down in no particular order were United, St Mirren, the Fermers and Hamilton. So 2 down so far. The rest I couldn’t care less about but I had a great day at Hospo in Dingwall earlier this season and would do that again for sure. County are much more palatable than Inverness. However I really like Thistle so I hope they stay up.

Can I ask why you hate Saints so much?
