Eednud
NRL returns tonight with the Brisbane Broncos against Paramatta Eels at a spectatorless Suncorp Stadium. Kick-off is 19:50 AEST (10:50 GMT). First NRL game with one ref since the 2009 season. No idea how this game will go and could be a close one but selected the Broncos in tipping competition.

Got the Sea Eagles v Bulldogs game in the Sky planner to be recorded on Sunday. I have family in Mona Vale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, so became a Manly fan through them. Looking forward to it. More so when fans are back in the stadiums though. Push it up Manly!

Sundays game is at Central Coast Stadium, Gosford.
afca32
Great half, new 6 again rule really speeding the game up although the players look tired already. Parra have come flying out of the blocks.

I didn't like the idea of crowd noise but thought it worked well other than the occasional random bits of cheering and applause where it sounded more like a crowd applauding a good golf shot.
stanton
Having listened to a lot of games on 2GB , I'm quite used to the virtual crowd noise . Enjoyed the Roosters v The Souths game Looking forward to " Super Saturday "
Eednud
Pay $22 and you could have had a fan cut-out at last nights Roosters-Rabbitohs game. Don’t know which side the furry one was supporting.
Mark Connolly
It's definitely better in an empty ground than football is, with all the chat of the defenders and the ref mics. I'd imagine it will be the same when Union restarts. Don't mind the crowd sounds, the only issue I've had is you don't get the "oooooh" when someone gets absolutely smashed, as has happened a couple of times in the last few minutes in the Storm-Raiders game!
afca32
Have watched most of it so far this weekend. Parra, Roosters and now Canberra all looked very strong, wouldn't be surprised if that's the top 3. Interested to see what happens with Penrith and Newcastle tomorrow, not convinced either is all that great but whoever goes 3/3 will get a huge boost from that.

ajwffc
Almost The Perfect Game , very enjoyable game to watch They completed 96%(46/48) of there sets a new NRL record and one that will be hard to beat
pozbaird
If only Ruben Garrick had his kicking boots on, then Manly would have crushed the Bulldogs by even more than the final 32-6 scoreline. Some great handling and movement between DCE, Tom, Jake, and Curtis. The Sea Eagles must be in the conversation for the Premiers. Weapons all over the pitch. Just hope they remain injury free, unlike last season.
Eednud
This week is Round 4 with games tonight, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Tonight’s game is at Suncorp with the Broncos hosting the Roosters. Broncos lost by 28 points last Thursday, the margin could be higher this week. Tomorrow it’s Panthers v Warriors and Storm v Rabbitohs. Saturday Eels v Sea Eagles and Cowboys v Sharks. Sunday Raiders v Knights and Titans v Wests Tigers. Monday is the Queen’s Birthday holiday with an afternoon game between the Bulldogs v Dragons (07:05 GMT).
