This is one of the main issues that quite a few junior teams stated.

Tbh the whole thing is now a debacle and sadly the likes of a certain few on here just keep the coals burning.

It makes you think that there are alternative reasons for them doing so.

You may be right.  Looking ahead though.......

* rumour has it that the SFA Board will confirm the award of club licences to at least 6 applicants, at its meeting on 18th April. It is also 'claimed' that a further half a dozen applications will be submitted to the next Board Meeting in June 2019. The outcome of the current remaining applications is unclear.

* it is anticipated that the Board will receive an update on the discussions between the ERJFA & the EoSL, and the outcome of the recent  PWG meeting.

So perhaps some decisions may help achieve progress in this ongoing pyramid saga ?    (Well it is mid-April).

Should teams have to have their own grounds? Edinburgh City could get into League One and yet they have no ground after next season.  What about a minimum budget for each level? This put noses out of joint in the WPL but seems effective.

What difference does it make whether a club own their ground or not? As long as they have somewhere suitable to play, that's the main thing.

Some of the biggest clubs in the world don't actually own their grounds.

Exactly. There're many clubs at SPFL, senior non-league and junior levels who don't own their grounds: often they're tenants of the local council. As long as they've a long-term lease, there's no issue with this.

Ground sharing makes sense (within geographical limits...) Football grounds are expensive to build and maintain. Using a ground every Saturday and midweek and sharing costs is a no-brainer to me, particularly when an artificial surface (and the Devil's Illuminations) are involved.

Pressure should be put on the SFA, to announce the date when the SFA Board will meet to decide  the date of the next SFA Board Meeting.

If there isn't a scheduled meeting BEFORE both  the Lowland, and SFA Annual General Meetings, a special Board meeting should be  diaried to deal with the outstanding licence applications only. This isn't difficult to do, and is very important to the clubs, waiting to know the outcome.  Some applications are more than six months old ! And I can't recall any SFA club licences being awarded to  new applicants, since LTHV were awarded their's in June/July 2018 (?).

The licensing system is being undermined and discredited in my view. Come on SFA its your responsibility, act now.........please.

Penicuik and Blackburn United have had their licenses granted over in the EOS (nothing on other applicants thus far) so we should find out about the two junior applicants within the next day or so.

Excellent news.

The SFA's system is to notify clubs individually about the outcome of their application, before updating/publishing the schedule of Licensed Clubs.

And Tynecastle

So far the award of six licences has been confirmed, all of which have been awarded to clubs which already have floodlights.   These clubs become SFA Members, and are therefore eligible to enter the Scottish Cup in 2019/20 and beyond.  This means that there will be more matches (and less byes) in the First Preliminary Round next season.

It doesn't appear that any of the other licence applicants, have been successful, nor have they been granted a floodlights derogation  by the SFA.  It has been rumoured that up to 17 clubs had applied for licences during the last 12 months. Some unsuccessful clubs may have lodged an appeal (?)

Did any of the following  clubs apply for a licence ?

Sauchie, Dalkeith, Dunipace, Leith, Newtowngrange, Dunbar ?  They all have floodlights.

It is the wrong forum in that there's no relation to junior clubs and the EoS forum has a topic on licensing.

There are 20 pages on this "Club Licensing" format, and many posts/posters commenting on licensing for both junior and senior clubs.  If you look back since this topic was originally set up, you will see this for yourself. Licensing is a generic topic which crossing the 'boundaries' between junior and senior.  Ask Cumnock.

Please note that from the EoS forum, you will see that I  have regularly posted about licensing.
