That has to be a wind up. Nothing like previous plans.

Obvious wind-up.

Somebody with too much time on their hands has just cobbled up a photoshop combination of the new B&Q stadium, and the Big Dick from Pittodrie.

No. Aside from the replica of the Dick Donald stand that picture is nothing like Pittodrie.

Well obviously not as it stands now...

It’s someone’s concept of what Pittordrie could look like if it were to be redeveloped.

... exactly. Thought it was fairly clear that it was a view from a redeveloped Merkland Road end looking towards the Dick Donald stand with new stands either side.

Westhill - The Land That Fun Forgot.

https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/news/local/residents-slam-north-east-pubs-plans-for-adult-entertainment1/

Quote

Seven residents who live near the Broadstraik Inn in Westhill have lodged objections to the plan, claiming it would damage the “quiet” area.

The pub launched the bid for a variation of its licensing in June in the hope of holding events which the application described as “light-hearted and while not exclusively restricted to, may include, ladies’ nights (Chippendales etc) and kiss-o-grams”.

The Broadstraik used to be a great pub, full of character but now it’s a dump. The best thing would be to flatten it and rebuild.

It’s dirty, poor food, awful service, empty most of the time just a disaster. This is a desperate attempt to get folk through the doors.

We used to go there fairly regularly for family meals but can't say we've been to it recently.  It used to be a decent place.  Checking out TripAdvisor a lot of the recent reviews are fairly scathing.

With most of the AWPR now open it is clearly going to make a Hell of a difference to traffic around Aberdeen

However, anyone who has used the Kingsford Junction already will know how fucking difficult it is getting onto the damn roundabout from the off-ramps. I really hope there's going to be traffic lights even if just for matchdays. Snorl will not even come close to describing the mess there's going to be.

Court hearing into Kingsford Stadium called off at last minute

Quote

A court hearing related to Aberdeen FC’s new stadium development has been called off.

No Kingsford Stadium (NKS) is challenging the process by which Aberdeen City Council granted the Dons permission to build the 20.000-capacity stadium and training complex next to the A944 at Kingsford and the first judicial review hearing was due to take place today.

However, it was cancelled at the last minute.

A procedural hearing had been scheduled to take place at the Court of Session in Edinburgh to ensure all documentation will be in place for a three-day substantive hearing next month.

However, a motion was filed to the court this morning indicating all sides had agreed to cancel the procedural hearing.

According a Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service spokeswoman, the procedural hearing was called off because legal representatives for both NKS and the council felt plans for the substantive hearing are going well and so a procedural hearing was not needed.

“It means the case will proceed to the substantive hearing, which begins on January 29,” added the spokeswoman.
