Phil Taylor has packed up and gone, while Adrian Lewis, Dave Chisnall and James Wade have dropped from the Premier League. It's a fresh era, and Rob Cross will be looking to carry on from his extraordinary 2017, culminating with that New Year triumph at the Alexandra Palace, but Michael van Gerwen will be seeking to establish himself as the dominant force by retaining the Premier League title. Two-time winner Gary Anderson remains a major threat, crowd favourite Peter Wright will be aiming for redemption after his dramatic final loss 12 months ago, while the legendary Raymond van Barneveld remains a significant draw. However, this year's edition always sees Daryl Gurney, Mensur Suljovic, Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price and Simon Whitlock enter to freshen things up.
