Kilmarnock booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup with a comfortable 4-0 win over Brora Rangers.

After remaining patient in the first half, it was two players handed their first Killie starts for the season who made the breakthrough.

Aaron Tshibola eased any nerves by tapping the ball home after excellent work by Greg Kiltie to find space inside the box.

Steve Clarke's side were a different proposition in the second period with their superior skill and fitness proving too much for their Highland League opponents.

Kris Boyd made no mistake when played clean through on goal, giving the goalkeeper the eyes before dispatching the ball into the net with precision.

Substitute Eamonn Brophy continued his impressive run of form with a fantastic strike from distance to make it 3-0.

And Stephen O'Donnell fired in his first Kilmarnock goal with a wonderful angled drive from outside the penalty box to add some gloss to the score.

Now Killie fans can look forward to seeing who we draw in the last eight of the competition.

Kilmarnock: Fasan; O'Donnell, Findlay, Broadfoot, S.Boyd; Mulumbu (Brophy), Dicker, Tshibola; Jones, Kiltie (Frizzell), K.Boyd (Erwin)

Brora gave us a tougher test than most of the #W38 today.

Teams like Partick should study their tactics to try to work out how to have a chance against us.
You could see what it meant to those guys to be playing at one of Scotland's four major stadiums. Apparently some were taking selfies in the Chadwick stand - all very Partick Thistle.
