Do not !!!! Go on the ‘It’s a small world’ ride, the music stays with you for a month

A month? I was there 8 years ago and it still occasionally pops into my head. That and the Smurf theme tune!

About 20 years and still there for me!   Actually, I'd just about wiped it from memory until I saw this topic! f**k!

One of my family phoned Disney prior to our holiday in Orlando last year and got put on hold for 15 minutes. Guess what music they played?

Edit: This came about 5 years after they got stuck on the ride for half an hour!

Went on Friday with my girlfriend for the day, it’s through for the day on the train as we were staying in central Paris, but it was absolutely fantastic. We opted for Walt Disney World, and think we managed six main rides all day, so quite how you could do both parks in one day is a complete mystery.

The Hollywood Tower Hotel was without doubt my favourite ride, and had the longest queue, but well worth the wait.

The Aerosmith rollercoaster was decent, we managed to do that twice because the queue was so short about 5pm, feels 10 times the power of taking off on a flight at the beginning, amazing.

Would recommend, but we were chatting to a couple on the flight over with two little ones and it was like looking at two different people today when we clocked them on the flight home. I was knackered after one day, think we were in bed for 10pm when we finally got back.

Disney studios, not Disney world.

I hated the tower hotel ride [emoji23]

Look into meal plans, might save some money. The basic ones include breakfast and evening buffet meal. You need to book your restaurant's in advance though (45 days I think) or risk not getting a table. Means food is paid before you go and seems cheaper!

Buy a photo pass. Includes all ride photos and character photos all uploaded digitally.

If you have a wee girl going with you look at the princess for a day package, get to pick a dress , get their hair and make up done etc. You also get a load of pics taken. My 6 year old loved this. The cast members also treat them differently when they spot them as well. i.e. actually talk to them like a Disney princess. Was highlight of my holiday to be fair just seeing how much enjoyment she got.

Spaniards are utter utter dicks.

I was there late November 2010 with my wife on our first holiday together.  The weather was chilly but crisp, 1-2 degrees C.  It was quiet and we didn't have to queue for anything, we spent 2.5 days there and were able to do every ride we wanted to, several times.

My wife went back with her family early December 2017 and had to queue a lot more.  I don't know why it was so quiet when we were there in 2010, maybe late-Nov is the sweet spot for the parks being quiet before the Christmas hype.

How do you go about the photo pass ?

Everything I have booked for going is booked via one company. So for any extras I will need to do myself

You can buy them in the gift shops when you arrive.

Anybody tried getting from CDG to the Disney park by train? Having a helluva time trying to get a transfer for the wife and her wheelchair.

Is it a fold up wheelchair and can she move onto a car seat for the journey? If so the prices don't seem too bad for a taxi. If not you could ask if they have any specialist vehicles.

Or you could try this lot.

FAQ
Are the vehicles wheelchair accessible?
Our shuttles are not suitable for people with reduced mobility. We can, however, offer you a specialist transfer vehicle on reservation from our sales department by email : contact@magicalshuttle.fr

Some encouraging stuff about the train.

P.S. The train seems the easiest way to do it. You can leave your bags at the station and they'll deliver them to your hotel, so you can just push the wheelchair to the hotel.

P.S. I'm always looking into this stuff, looking for practical holiday ideas for my wheelchair using Mother.  I'm not taking her to fucking Eurodisney though.

Can't get her on the magic shuttle - it's just a regular coach and she uses an electric wheelchair. They've quoted me 560 Euros to use an adapted taxi though !!!

Fucking outrageous. Bit late now but it might have been less stressful just to get the train the whole way. The train from CGD sounds easy though.

You can get the RER into Paris and take a metro out to DP.

I have no idea how wheelchair friendly it would be regarding access, but its relatively easy to organise.

ETA: I've just looked out of curiosity and you can take the RER to Chatelet Les Halles and change to get another to Marne La Vallee

You can get a TGV direct from the airport, takes 15 minutes.
