Would be great to have a good old fashioned senior ground for the final. Somerset, Cappillow, don't like Rugby Park or whatever Almondvale is known as now.

Agreed but those days seem to be gone and won't return. Even the best junior grounds lack the facilities of the less modern Senior ones you mention but for some reason the Juniors must have the final in an oversized and sterile venue with a pishy artificial surface.

Too small, needs to be something a bit better than a Junior Ground, which Gayfield is really.

The reason is simple - the junior cup final is held too late in the season. Most clubs with grass surfaces have already re-turfed or re-seeded by that point.

Just saw on Twitter that Wishaw think their game on Saturday is in serious doubt due to the weather conditions there, if so that will mean they have lost ten Saturdays due to Scottish ties being postponed. I know the weather hasn't been great but surely if the Scottish was taken out of December and January, where they had seven games off, they it would give a chance of fulfilling league fixtures.

I doubt that a non all seater stadium would be considered in any case.

Probably right, but why? Should this not be challenged?
