What's the most "Tin Pot" thing you've seen in the SPFL

Roids? The only US based wrestler I've known about, is Rowdy Roddy Piper, and he's deid too.

One of the worst mistakes a middle-aged man can make is deciding to look up the wrestling lads they fondly remember from their youth.

Hint: they're all dead from a surprising variety of horrible conditions. I think the worst I recall was an unexpected murder-suicide; the autopsy revealed early-onset dementia through head trauma, with the brain's owner (Chris Beniot) likely not being in control of his own actions anymore.

Also from the "that's horrible and I wish I didn't know that" file: Jake 'the Snake' Roberts being the offspring of the 12 year old daughter of his paedophile father's girlfriend, eventually being abused by his old man and step-mother at a similar age  :(

Anyway, the big lad seemed to genuinely enjoy his visit, so fair fucks to him.

Data profiling strikes again? 🤔😂

Aberdeen could at least spend some money on replacing those faded seats.

The SNP stole his sense of independence when they masterminded a plan to lock 7 billion people in their homes while injecting them with poison.

Forgot he was one of the covid nutters, he can probably be found in the discontent thread where all the vaccine specialists have suddenly become financial experts.

When I lived in America the radio show I listened to had a bit where they could see if it could go 90 days without a wrestler dying. It never went past about 6 weeks.

Ironically, one of the producers of said radio show now works for WWE.

My take-away from this is that the WWE employs people who murder their former employees as it saves them royalty money.

...nah, they don't pay royalties. Or offer a medical insurance plan, or retirement fund, as I recall.

They sure don't.

They will however fire you if you're making money off your own back on the likes of Twitch and that.

A despicable company operated by a sex offender.

Pain killer addiction is the most common cause of death with the wrestlers.

They severely do their backs necks and knees in.

I'm not a big Joe Rogan fan, but when I heard he did interviews with the Undertaker and Diamond Dallas Page, I had to listen.

For anyone wanting to know more about the long-term effects of wrestling injuries, listen to those two podcasts. Harrowing.

Yet most of the new generation are determined to cripple themselves doing pointless flips and dives.

My knowledge of wrestlers and their Scottish teams goes as far as Mick McManus (Celtic), Big Daddy (Rangers) and Giant Haystacks (St Johnstone)

Don't know if this man declared (Sounds like a Dee man to me)..,.

(Is this wrestling thread the most TinPot thing on P&B?)

I think we can all agree that there will be nothing in this thread before or after now which is more tin pot than "wrestling".

Yeah gave it a whirl when I was 13 or so and determined it was a sweaty panto.
