I'm sure the wee fannies of the union bears and green brigade with their matching jackets and haircuts, whose main concern is sneaking in pyro and naughty banners, are far less of a challenge for the polis than the casuals and firms of the 80's. They're all that thick that the ones not getting in will load the pubs, get pished and fight amongst themselves instead, so all the A&Es in the west will do their usual roaring trade for the occasion regardless.

Perfectly acceptable, IMO. The Ivory Coast ones can stay though.

Away fans being able to go to football is part of what football is about. It should not be within the gift of clubs to take away allocation to zero and the SPFL should be telling them both that they are not allowed to sell that section of the ground at all if not to away fans.

The way the Rangers bigots acted towards the memory of Ron Gordon was beyond the pale, Hibs would be well within their rights to ban the Rangers support from Easter Road.

On any basis that the two of those clubs have banned eachother, you would have to say so.

The authorities are not able to punish them, nearly every single club in the SPFL (including Hibs) voted against strict liability rules. Without such rules, clubs cannot be held responsible for the actions of their fans.

This is true - however I think that part of the reason clubs didnt want strict liability is that (under some definitions) they would be held entirely responsible for the behaviour of all fans in the stadium. At ER, everything is fine for Killie, Dundee Utd, Aberdeen, St Mirren (as examples) but there are 2 clubs who create what amounts to a fucking warzone inside and out every time they visit. I usually arrive at ER from Meadowbank Retail Park direction, and the behaviour of Celtic and Rangers fans is appalling (and I am broad minded). The police basically let them away with behaviour that, for fans of other clubs, would mean horses, truncheons and arrests. While the police start by checking all tickets in an orderly way, when it gets close to ko time they just cave, let them all push in and double up at turnstyles, leading to dangerous overcapacity. They act like a mini army arriving in towns and cities all over Scotland and creating chaos and the police just shite it. I know the act is a complete crock of crap, but the the number of Rangers and Celtic fans dealt with under the Offensive Behaviour at Football nonsense was laughable in comparison with other clubs. I love the atmos of having opposition fans in the ground, but its really horrible when they come to town - there are people who simply dont take their kids on those matches. That cant be right.
