What's the most "Tin Pot" thing you've seen in the SPFL

I never said it was bigoted pal, I said it was cobbled together with lyrics from other bigoted songs.

So it’s not bigoted but is made up of words that feature in other songs? Aside from the fact that all songs are made up from words that feature in other songs, I’m not sure where you are going with this.

I’m not sure where you’re going with this either. I called it tin pot for playing to the gallery and you’ve went off on some strange tangent about how it’s not bigoted 😂

I was replying to your particular point about it being a song jumbled up with words from other songs that are bigoted… I just don’t know what point you were trying to make but I don’t think you do either.

I mean it’s just lifted verses some some of your more “cultured songs” but I only brought that up to take the piss out of you being so happy it’s not a bigoted song.

A man with no affiliation or relationship your club banging out a tweet about “the battle fever” when he’s just there to get a wage is tin pot. He’s playing the gallery of people that’ll slap each other on the back and post on forums about “he gets us, he understands this club.”

Is that more appropriate?

What 😂

”We’ve got the battle fever on” is a famous quote from Jock Wallace:

This has then been incorporated into a song which has the lyrics of:

In what way can you say that is bigoted 😂

Because it contains words from different Rangers songs that are bigoted? Jesus. There is clutching and then there is this.

It’s not bigoted, just deluded. No surprise there though from the brainwashed.

I'd assumed "Battle Fever" was one of those things Neil Lennon would say. Turns out I was wrong (that was "Bring the thunder") but in checking I found something weird
The biggest source of hits for the term on google was "Battle Fever J" a 1980s japanese superhero show
Battle Fever J (TV Series 1979–1980) - IMDb

But the weirdest thing is that BFJ was effectively the precursor to the Power Rangers, coincidence? well probably but lets assume not for fun

Do any other Scottish clubs have mottos that attach them as deeply into geek culture?

The use of tired Military metaphors in sport is inevitably at least a bit "tin pot" but it should be judged on a sliding scale

In a scale of 1 to 10 where 1/10 is using the clichéd term "Midfield General" and 10/10 is Piers Morgan running the headline

"Achtung Fritz For you ze Euro 96 championship is over"

with  mocked up pictures of Pearse and Gascoine in tin hats then "Battle Fever" is probably a three or a four

^^ Not a big fan of Jean Sibelius.

I'd never heard of him until now. I stand corrected.

Sevco are definitely one of the number one culprits of this pish though, probably why people were quick to call it tinpot.
