Swindon Town lined up suitable replacements and activated contingency plans ready for the departure. The striker travelled to Edinburgh where his move has been prepared, including photographs, interviews, and a medical. Whilst this was happening Hibernian contacted Swindon Town to renegotiate on the fee that was previously agreed and started to offer lower figures and change the structure of the deal.
