What's the most "Tin Pot" thing you've seen in the SPFL

You would think that this would result in some pause for reflection within the Rangers support.

If you take what their club said re Sutton and Lennon at face value then what they are essentially saying is that they don't trust their own supporters not to cause physical harm to a couple of football pundits whose only 'crimes' appear to be the fact that they are prominent former Celtic players.

What precisely does that say about the Rangers support?

Alternatively, Rangers simply want to exclude anyone from their stadium who they perceive as being some kind of 'enemy'.

Either way it's a complete and utter embarrassment.

And downright sinister and dangerous.

The adoption of the Bush like position of you are either with us or against us is danger of getting out of control.

The identification and hounding of prominent critics comes with a whiff of fascist bully boy tactics and with the perception at least of their club's own media partner being at the centre of it, it almost appears to have the tacit approval of the club.

What needs to happen before there is a realisation that this has got out of hand?

These things happen.

It’s just a pity that the broadcasters involved , BT in this case and the BBC don’t take more of a stand against them. Instead these broadcasters seem to be prepared to allow them to discriminate against certain individuals without much , if any , protest.  BBC Radio Scotland , in particular, come across as being very weak by still devoting as much airtime and discussions to them , despite being treated like shit by them. Personally , I think the BBC would be justified in keeping the reporting on all Rangers games , not just those at Ibrox, to the bare minimum ......the scoreline and nothing more.

Did B.T. not cover from London ?

That bigoted weasel Neil McCann was never seen in McDiarmid Park while Tommy Wright remained in charge. I do wonder if we refused his media pass or perhaps he was to intimidated to turn up.

Catholic and boyhood Celtic fan who went on to play for Rangers Neil McCann? Strange path for a bigot to take.

Aye, you can accuse Neil McCann of being lots of things but bigot, especially in terms of the Rangers-Celtic shite, isnt one of them.

Rangers seemingly unable to accommodate domestic away fans but were able to give their whole end to a small group of Lyon fans last night.

Shhhh.....it doesnt fit into the "us vs Scottish football" narrative.

Also see competition sponsors Enterprise and Kia being branded about when, you know, they are in direct competition with one of Rangers' existing sponsorships. Funny that.

It looks as if they are pandering to their lowest common denominator of fans (deliberate or not).

Basically suggesting that this bitter hatred of ex-Celtic players is actually acceptable and will be backed by the club.

They may be using "safety concerns" as an excuse at the moment but if they keep fuelling the idiot support, it may actually become a reality.

Yip, it's pretty dreadful really.

This club that claims to do everything to combat the anti Catholic sentiment in the support, effectively bans a high profile Irish Catholic who's been infamously subjected to sectarian attacks in the past.

Not only are they not resisting the worst instincts of the support, but they're legitimising them.

Who knew that when they claim they do ‘everything possible’ to eradicate sectarianism within the stadium it just meant banning high profile catholic’s.

What gave it away, the orange kits or the fact they hired an actual bigot as PR manager recently?

Clicky

Edit: oh aye here is the squad posing with a flute band a few years ago

I suspect that is genuinely what's happened here.

Not, you'll understand through a sincere desire to eradicate the scourge, but to dodge the sanctions that demonstrating it in Europe, would attract.

You missed out some salient details. That photo was taken in Windsor Park, at the testimonial match of a Linfield player. The flute band is Shankhill Road Defenders flute band.

The very same day that photo was taken, 3rd September 2016, the Shankhill Road Defenders band were at one of their regular annual events, the Brian Robinson memorial march. There they commemorated a UVF murderer, Brian Robinson, who killed an innocent catholic entirely at random in a drive-by shooting, and was then killed himself, in rather shady circumstances, by the British Army, thus becoming a cause celebre among Belfast loyalists who have a funny idea of who the victim is. To confirm it's the same day, the match report from Linfield, complete with the above photo, is here.

Here's a video of them on that march, that day.

"Posing with a flute band" is one thing. Posing for a photo op with these c***s is a different story entirely.
