I mean joke about it chaps, but no letting pundits in cause you can't trust your fans isn't a terribly good look

I very much doubt the actual reason they aren’t being let in has anything to do with potential fan behaviour given it’s never been an issue in the past.

I suspect it’s more to do with the movement towards making life difficult for pundits or media to access Ibrox who the club feel have been unfavourable towards us.

An equally bad look though, agreed.

Rangers are citing security considerations for banning the two pundits, so either your suspicion is wrong, or Rangers PR team have an opinion on which of the bad looks looks less bad - and it's to shift the blame onto the fans.

The correct solution would be to allow pundits for the contacted TV partner but play behind closed doors.

Well banning pundits and stating it’s because your fans may assault them is a sure fire way to get positive media coverage.

Nobody has said that at all. Sutton cited “security reasons” which could be any number of things. They’ve likely used that as a blanket reason to stop them coming because saying “we just don’t want them there” probably wouldn’t cut it.

Im not saying I agree with it at all, just countering the claims from people that think Rangers genuinely believe they’d get attacked or harmed.

Tbf it's hard to argue they wouldn't be in physical threat when your "ultra" section is leaving "all *****s are targets" messages all over the country.

So it’s your belief that Lennon and Sutton sitting inside a studio in Ibrox were likely to come into harms way as opposed to this being a reason for Rangers to play hardball with media/pundits?

In the past month your fans have organised a black jacket march through a city, started putting threatening messages all over the city, and have started speaking about the "war" they're in online. It feels like it's escalating towards something that causes everyone to realise its gone too far, so why wouldn't it be some completely fanny trying to get into the studio section? There's absolutely someone in your support who thinks that's a good idea.

And you think that’s the reason behind Sutton and Lennon being denied access to Ibrox?

So you’re saying the board are lying publicly about the reasons?

What? No. I’m saying they’ve likely used “safety concerns” as a very broad term in order to deny access.

There has been no mention that these safety concerns had anything to do with the same expectation that they’d be attacked by fans.

Rangers could’ve fed them any old excuse under the term “safety concerns” such as the studio having dodgy wiring, the roof is about to collapse etc. None of which I believe are genuine and are simply a way of denying access to folk they don’t want inside Ibrox.
