Popular Post Swello
https://news.stv.tv/west-central/rangers-fan-tried-to-set-flag-on-fire-to-provoke-welsh-fans?top Quote Rangers fan ‘tried to set flag on fire to provoke Welsh fans’ Andrew Watt accused of conducting himself in a disorderly manner during Rangers Colts v Wrexham clash at Ibrox. Craig Foy via SNS Group Four men face charges in relation to Challenge Cup match at Ibrox in November, 2019. A Rangers fan is accused of trying to set alight the flag of a Welsh team to allegedly provoke opposition fans. Andrew Watt, 30, is said to have conducted himself in a disorderly manner at Ibrox Stadium on November 16, 2019. The Rangers Colts team were hosting Wrexham in the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup at the time. Prosecutors claim Watt was in possession of an opposition flag. It is stated he made attempts to ignite the flag and wave it in a provocative manner at the Wrexham fans. Watt is then alleged to have resisted, obstructed or hindered a police officer after being arrested and taken into custody. The charge claims Watt broke free from PC John Doherty’s grasp, struggled with him and made off. Co-accused Lloyd Cross, 29, William Cross, 59, and Christopher Stewart, 25, face a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at Ibrox. ADVERT It is claimed the trio behaved aggressively towards police officers and pushed them as well as other members of the public. The men also face allegations that they shouted and swore, stood on seats, and attempted to strike PC Stephen Begg on the body. Lloyd Cross faces a further charge of assaulting PC Lukas Erhardt by seizing his body and armour before pushing him to the ground. He is said to have been on bail for a separate matter at the time. A hearing has been set for next month before a June trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court. Lloyd Cross, of the city’s Kings Park, William Cross, of Croftfoot, Stewart, of Pollok, and Watt, of Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, remain on bail. Most flags are flame retardant these days, so it's not that surprising. Edited March 19, 2021 by G51

It's really, really odd behaviour. It's the same everywhere. I've got mates who support Rangers/Celtic and hate Motherwell despite coming from, ehh, Motherwell. This probably happens to most of us, however I've only ever been to Ibrox to see Forfar once, we got pumped 6 nil in the cup. 2003/04 I was sitting there with my fellow loons and up high to our right there was about 4 mutants holding a fleg that had "Forfar Loyal" and spitting and giving it the red had or nazi salute, not sure, absolutely foaming at the mouths trying to get a reaction from us. The only reaction was of pity.
