Shanner
Bit of a quandary for the good god fearing Junior fans of this parish if it's a wipe out. Do they cross the great grade divide and pay the exorbitant entry fees to watch some soulless corporate galactico outfit like Cowdenbeath or Dumbarton or instead sit in the house with the lurchers watching the scores show with a couple of accys, thereby propping up the evil empire of Senior football as armchair fans? Because of the probable attendance, Rossvale wouldnt, at the moment, be able to host the expected crowd. Fingers crossed its a one off for them as I know how hard they have and continue to work there and they will get a solution sooner rather than later. Indeed, there was actually a point during construction where I understand that the pitch was going to be right next to the fence meaning no officials could run the lne ruling it out as a venue for for grades of the game. Ian McG
Blackburn united have put out a call for volunteers to clear their pitch. 3/4 g. Blackburn v lin lithgow might have a chance. In the type of situation presently being faced, the decision making process with regard to the use of the 3G playing surface at the Dem-master Community Stadium will naturally reside with the board of the Blackburn United Community Football Club and not solely with the Juniors committee. Accordingly, advice is currently being sought and taken on the best course of action with regard to the almost 6 inches of snow covering the pitch and, indeed, the immediate environs. Taking this and the short to medium range weather forecast into account, the Community Club board will then make the decision on the best course of action not only for this game but for the integrity of the 3G surface thereafter. The call for volunteers that you mention was made by a well meaning supporter but this is on hold for the time being.
