Slightly later era, but another two players called Arthur come to mind - Grant and Graham. Don’t know Arthur Thompson’s position but all the other four (Duncan, Hamill, Grant and Graham) were left wingers.

That Hearts Cup Final squad I posted a couple of days ago: I overlooked another Arthur, who is there in plain sight. Burntisland's Arthur Mann played in the 1968 Cup Final. After that he was signed by Joe Mercer for league champions Manchester City for a club record fee and played out his career down south for the next decade. A sign of the times was that he then worked in a factory, where he was killed at the early age of 51 in an industrial accident. Mann with his Hearts blazer and tie, on Wembley Road in Manchester following his move. His career was said to have been limited by his refusal to fly, as Manchester City travelled south and to Europe by plane. 19 hours ago, Oscar P said: Slightly later era, but another two players called Arthur come to mind - Grant and Graham. I'll give you Arthur Graham, forgot about him, but Arthur Grant, played into the 'nineties and is younger than me, which is another benchmark Two others: Arthur Paterson played at Kilbowie and Somerset Park and also was a scorer for Irvine Meadow in a Junior Cup Final victory. Arthur McMillan, a full back, was a long time servant for Hamilton Accies in the late 60s through to the late 70s.
The Mantis
The old terrace at The Recs. I think this was a derby v Shire, 1-0, 1992. Edited December 10, 2022 by The Mantis

Flybhoy
Ian St John at a snowy Anfield, and Bill Shankly helping clear the pitch pre match in 1964. Even growing up in the 80's I can regularly recall games being played in conditions like this, as well as quagmire pitches. These days the slightest bit of snow covering or square metre of surface water and games are off. Same badge in this pic of Lochgelly born Bob McKinlay who played 614 league games for Forest from 1951-1969 and he was a youth player there from 1949-1951. Won the FA Cup in 1959. Centre half and Forest’s record appearance holder. Only senior club he played for.

It is Forest, and has to be the late 60s at least, as I think the number 11 is Welshman Ronnie Rees, who was a great winger.
